What is Kava? Kava, also known as Piper methysticum, is a plant that grows on the pacific islands like Vanuatu, Fiji and Hawaii. It’s a distant relative of the pepper plant, and the roots of Kava can be ground up and combined with water to make kava tea, which has a sedative effect that helps people with pain relief and relaxation.
How does Kava work? Kava works to promote relaxation in 2 different ways. First, it promotes GABA activity, and GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, so it calms down your nervous system. Second, Kava increases levels of Dopamine, which helps to boost your mood and make you feel great. Kava doesn’t just work in your Central nervous system, it also works throughout your body, within your muscles to help you relax physically as well as mentally.
Is Kava actually effective? Multiple studies in various subjects have proven that Kava is more effective than a placebo for the reduction of stress and anxiety. Below I have outlined two key research articles.

"The Untold Dangers of Kava"
Kava can be taken for many benefits, but with those benefits come serious side effects sometimes.
Kava is a drug made from the ground roots of the plant Piper methysticum, a member of the pepper family that also includes black pepper. It is a native plant found in the South Pacific.
Kava can be taken as a drink or as a supplement or extract. Traditionally the root is crushed, ground or powdered and soaked in water to be drunk as a tea. This tea is often consumed socially and as part of traditional ceremonies and cultural practices throughout the South Pacific Islands.
In small doses, the effects of kava include muscle relaxation, sleepiness and feelings of wellbeing. However, long-term use of kava can lead to a range of health problems, including malnutrition, weight loss and apathy.

In this video you'll discover the nootropic benefits of Kava. Including which types of Kava make the best nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research.
Kava (Piper methysticum) is an herb that’s native the South Pacific islands. It’s traditionally been used in the islands as a hypnotic, psychotropic, and anxiolytic (anti-anxiety).
As a nootropic, Kava is used primarily as an anxiolytic. But unlike benzodiazepines, Kava doesn't sedate or mentally impair you like prescription anti-anxiety drugs. Kava seems to provide this calming effect by increasing the number of GABA-a receptors.
Kava extracts also bind to dopamine, serotonin and opiate receptors. Providing an antidepressant effect. In general, adding Kava to your nootropic stack will help you feel relaxed, calm and with lower anxiety while improving sociability. Research also shows that Kava boosts cognition including visual attention and working memory.
Many neurohackers say that at lower doses, Kava’s effects are a little like those generated by alcohol and certain kinds of anti-anxiety medications. Some users say it works as well as popping a Xanax.
Kava also prevents and may even treat several types of cancer. Research shows for example that one of the components of Kava, Flavokawain B reduces prostate tumor growth and inhibits cancer. Different compounds found in Kava can fight lung, bladder and other types of cancer as well.

An Australian study published in the May issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology claims that the kava works very well to reduce symptoms of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. They studied 75 people over 8 weeks and found kava hasa lesss risk for addiction and fewer possible side effects. They found that 26% of the kava group went into remission, whereas only 6% of the placebo group improved.
Years ago kava got a bad rap because preparations of the herb that were used were contaminated with the stems and leaves rather than just the root. Many people taking these preparations developed hepatitis. For more information please visit www.doctorsaputo.com

Kava is a depressant substance that produces a mild sedative effect on the user. Traditionally, people make it into a drink by adding cold water or coconut milk to the ground roots of a pepper plant called Piper methysticum.
Historically, this drink has longstanding cultural, ceremonial and medicinal uses in the Pacific Islands. In the 1990s, kava became popular in the United States in beverage and supplement forms due to its relaxing and intoxicating properties.

If you've never heard of KAVA before, then prepare to get your mind blown by what I'm about to tell you!!
Kava is an unbelievably popular substance across the Pacific Islands, especially right here on Pohnpei island (Micronesia). Kava is made from the roots of the kava plant, mixed with the hibiscus plant, and then squeezed out into a cup. Kava is one of the most interesting drinks I've ever seen, and I can't wait to tell you all about it in this video!
What are your thoughts on legal, 100% natural remedies such as kava? Would you ever try it?
