Methocarbamol (Robaxin) is a centrally acting muscle relaxant that helps in reducing muscle pain and stiffness.

It works by inhibiting a few neurons in the brain that control muscle contraction. It can cause sedation, drowsiness, and dizziness. Taking this medication along with other CNS depressants like anxiolytics and antipsychotics can increase sedation. Methocarbamol can also cause indigestion, metallic taste, and loss of appetite.
