Anaphylaxis in Infants: Use Epinephrine (11-month-old)
This video of an 11-month-old who had anaphylaxis in an allergist’s office during a food challenge receives an Epinephrine dose of 0.15mg from an auto-injector to safely treat her anaphylaxis (real, live device, not a trainer).
In this video, you will learn: how to recognize anaphylaxis, how to use an EpiPen® correctly, and how safe and easy it is to use. This video is for educational purposes only and is intended to help patients with food allergy and their caregivers be less afraid of using this potentially life-saving medication.
For those that have food allergies themselves, or food allergic children and already know this vital information, this video will be helpful in educating other family members, and caregivers on when, and how to use the EpiPen®.
