My name's Chris, lets do Science.

Today I am bringing a letter that is hot off the press. #Cfibers. Here we are going to learn about a previously undocumented feature of ticagrelor. Hope you Enjoy!

Ticagrelor is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as platelet inhibitors. It works by preventing platelets in the blood from sticking together and forming clots, which can help prevent heart attacks and strokes in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease.

While Ticagrelor is not primarily prescribed for its antimicrobial effects, some research studies have suggested that Ticagrelor may have some antimicrobial activity against certain bacteria. For example, a 2016 study published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology found that Ticagrelor could inhibit the growth of certain strains of Streptococcus bacteria, which can cause infections such as strep throat.

However, more research is needed to fully understand the antimicrobial effects of Ticagrelor and how they might be used to treat or prevent bacterial infections. It is important to note that Ticagrelor should only be used as directed by a healthcare provider for its intended purpose of preventing blood clots and reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
