I address the issue of antibiotic resistance in the treatment of bartonellosis and compare it to bacterial persistence. I address whether or not complete eradication of Bartonella is possible. I also talk about if and when pulsing antibiotics for bartonellosis is appropriate and the risks of pulsing rifampin based on the ScIeNtIfIc LiTeRaTuRe.
