Every year, many generic versions of popular prescription drugs come onto the market. What many people do not know is that these generic drugs are not coming at with an improved or updated version. The generic drug is simply just cheaper, but can still have many of the same adverse side effects as the original. Take for example the prescription drug Plavix. This blood thinner is used to prevent strokes and heart attacks but reports show that it is linked to gastrointestinal and cerebral bleeding events.
