Your medication Hydralazine

Hydralazine comes in 20mg/ml solution for injection and 10mg, 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg tablets.

Hydralazine is most commonly used for high blood pressure, but can be used for other medical conditions.
No matter what your doctor has you taking it for, hydralazine is usually taken by mouth three to four times daily and is to be taken consistently either with or without food. Take it at the same time each day, and always take it with food or always take it without food.

Standard dosing of hydralazine ranges from 10 mg to 100 mg daily

Some common side effects with hydralazine include low blood pressure, flushing, chest pain, anxiety, chills, depression, dizziness, fever, headache, nasal congestion, constipation, diarrhea, or nausea
Some less common side effects with hydralazine include trouble breathing, muscle cramps, anorexia, or any sort of rash.

Do not take hydralazine if: you have coronary artery disease.

While taking hydralazine, remember it is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist if:
• You have signs of an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, tightness of the chest, etc.)
• You become pregnant or breast feeding
• You are really tired, dizzy, confused, are short of breath, or have chest tightness
• You start taking new medications, vitamins or supplements
