Communication about asthma treatments can sometimes be misunderstood during a consultation. It is very important to always ask questions about your treatment when seeing a doctor about asthma, to make sure that you understand what each inhaler and treatment is for. Especially when there are side effects from medication, it is really important to clarify which drug is actually causing the side effect.
In this comment it was about inhaled corticosteroids being thought to be the cause of heart problems, which I think was not really the case, but likely a miscommunication either on the part of the physician or a misunderstanding on the part of the patient. Really important to clarify the situation with the doctor to not discount treatments that can actually be beneficial.
