Properly managing diabetes requires monitoring blood glucose (sugar) levels and adjusting for both highs and lows. According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), anyone over 80 years of age is considered at risk for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). But with proper management, seniors and their caregivers can control low blood sugars and their associated dangers.

We are joined by Jennifer Greiner, R.N., CDE, who has been with Residential Home Health for over 7 years and currently serves as Residential’s Certified Diabetes Educator. Living with diabetes herself for over 37 years, Jennifer understands the challenges individuals face and the lifestyle adjustments necessary to effectively manage diabetes. Through individualized education, she supports caregivers and helps patients reach their behavioral and treatment goals.
