Triamcinolone (Triderm) is a topical (on the skin) steroid medication used to treat different skin conditions. It's available in many different formulations, including cream, ointment, lotion, and spray. There's also a dental paste formulation available that can be applied in the mouth to relieve pain from mouth sores. Triamcinolone shouldn't be used for a long time without your provider's approval because it can cause topical steroid withdrawal (TSW).
