Wegovy and Ozempic both use the same active ingredient, Semaglutide. Wegovy is prescribed for weight loss and Ozempic is prescribed to treat Type 2 Diabetes. They are very similar medications but with different dosages. So while Wegovy's label includes warnings of mental health side effects, Ozempic doesn't. Why?

More research is needed on GLP-1 medications and its affects on depression and mental health, but the doctors are weighing in on this topic. Watch this video for a few different theories as to why.
