Your medication Lansoprazole

Lansoprazole is also known as the brand names: Prevacid.
Lansoprazole comes in 15 mg and 30mg capsules.
Lansoprazole is most commonly used for heartburn and acid reflux, but can also be used to treat ulcers of the digestive tract. No matter what your doctor has you taking it for, lansoprazole is taken orally one to two times per day for 4 to 8 weeks depending on what you are taking it for. It should be taken before meals, preferably before breakfast.
Some common side effects of lansoprazole are headache, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, and constipation.
Do not take lansoprazole if you have an allergic reaction to lansoprazole or other Proton Pump Inhibitors.
While taking lansoprazole, remember it is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any of the following:
• Mood changes, muscle pain or weakness, muscle cramps or spasms, seizures, tremors, lack of appetite, severe nausea or vomiting.
• Sign of kidney problems
• Severe dizziness, passing out or bone pain
• You begin taking any new medications, vitamins or supplements.
• Your condition does not improve or you develop new or worsening symptoms
