Replace gout medicine, like Colchicine, Allopurinol, Indomethacin by medicinal gout herbs. http://www.acutegouttreatment.com
And get your life back!
People suffering from gouty arthritis, also known as gout, the gout, gouts or tophaceous gout take Colchicine and Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAI) drugs like indomethacin as a first-line treatment for acute gouty arthritis attacks. In order to suppress inflammation and to tackle pain.
Allopurinol, Febuxostat, and Pegloticase are normally prescribed for controlling elevated uric acid levels, but they don’t tackle the cause of the high uric acid levels.
The problem with all these medicine (Colchicine, Allopurinol, Indomethacin, Indocid, etc.) is that they don't cure gout.
Opposite, due to the bad side effects for liver and kidneys, they make your gout disease worse. People get real sick of them; people die from these prescription medicines. Yes, Colchicine, Indomethacin and Allopurinol are toxic and have resulted in fatalities. Colchicine poisoning is comparable to arsenic poisoning.
In the video we show sudden death rates for Allopurinol.
A low purine diet in order to lower serum purines does not work either in order to control uric acid levels.
The goal is to lower uric acid levels to 4.5 mg/dl or lower.
All the tophi people get with tophaceous gout will start to dissolve quickly at such low levels.
In this video, we show a safe, natural, alternative got treatment.
We show graphics, proving that our natural medicinal gout herbs are more effective lowering uric acid levels as Allopurinol.
We explain in detail the ingredients of the different natural gout herbs.
Gout is a terrible disease, but with help of our gouty arthritis herbs, you don't have to worry any more about the purines in your food,
And about the bad side effects (Stevens Johnson Syndrome, etc.) of the prescription medicine, like colchicine, allopurinol and indomethacin.

Allopurinol
Allopurinol Side Effects 0 Views • 2 months ago

Generally prescribed as a treatment for gout, Zyloprim sold generically as allopurinol should not be routinely used to lower asymptomatic levels of serum uric acid. Even more than 50 years since its introduction to our medicine cabinets, no other compound surpasses allopurinol in preventing acute gouty attacks or accumulations of excess uric acid in the skin, joints, or kidney.

Controversy surrounds when to begin therapy. Traditional recommendations suggest withholding treatment until 4-6 weeks after an attack of gout subsides. Current statements from the American College of Rheumatology find no justification to delay instituting therapy. This contrasts to the British Society of Rheumatology that adheres to the more conservative approach.

Not to be outdone, the American College of Physicians does not believe an occasional attack of gout necessarily warrants treatment with a drug with so many potential adverse effects. They propose shared decision making in the presence of two or more attacks a year.

Allopurinol also helps prevent uric acid kidney stones and at times also assists in minimizing the recurrence of mixed calcium oxalate stones. The drug may reduce complications from massive release of uric acid associated with the treatment of certain blood cancers.

Basically the goal in gout involves maintaining the uric acid concentration at less than 6 mg/dl. Unfortunately the recommended dose of allopurinol often fails to achieve this standard. Doctors seem hesitant to increase the amount beyond 300 mg even though rheumatology guidelines suggest up to 900 mg/day in divided doses may be necessary and appropriate.

During the first months after beginning a course of allopurinol, gout actually tends to flare. To minimize this, most patients are advised to add a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen or naproxen. In the past colchicine was popular, but has recently fallen out of favor due to its dramatic price escalation.

Side effects due to allopurinol occur more frequently than with most other medicines. An accompanying skin rash may be benign but also may herald the onset of a hypersensitivity reaction capable of damaging the liver, kidneys and marrow and at times resulting in death. Severe reactions occur more frequently in those of Chinese or Thai descent.

Any skin eruption while on the drug must promptly be brought to the attention of a health care practitioner.

Allopurinol interacts with a large number of other prescription medicines. In those receiving allopurinol the dose of Imuran or azathioprine - a drug for Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis - must be reduced by about 75%. When combined with ampicillin or amoxicillin a widespread but relatively harmless skin rash typically develops.

COLCHICINE to TREAT AND PREVENT GOUT | [Educational video]
COLCHICINE to TREAT AND PREVENT GOUT | [Educational video] Side Effects 0 Views • 2 months ago

In this video Doctor O'Donovan explains how to use COLCHICINE (aka Colcrys/Gloperba/Mitigare) to TREAT AND PREVENT GOUT.

In this video we cover:

00:00 - Introduction
00:31 - What is Colchicine Used for
01:05 - How does Colchicine work
01:14 - Who can and can't take it Colchicine

01.55 - Common Doses of Colchicine
03:05 - Side effects
04:00 - Interactions with other medications

NHS Information:

Colchicine is a medicine for treating inflammation and pain. It works by reducing the inflammation caused by the crystals of uric acid that build up in your joints when you have gout. This also helps to reduce pain.

It can be used to:

- Treat gout
- Prevent gout from coming back when you first start on long-term medicines like allopurinol
- Prevent symptoms of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), an inherited inflammatory condition.

Gout is a type of arthritis that causes sudden, severe joint pain. See a GP for treatment to help during an attack and to stop further attacks.

Colchicine is available on prescription. It comes as tablets.

Key facts

1. Colchicine starts to work after around 30 minutes to 2 hours, but it may take a day or two for your pain to start to get better.
2. It's important to stick to your prescribed dose. Taking even a little bit more can be very serious.
3. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking colchicine. It can increase the amount of colchicine in your body.
4. Taking colchicine with or after food may be easier on your stomach.
5. Drinking too much alcohol can increase the level of uric acid in your blood. This could make your gout worse.

Today I’m going to share the best remedies for gout. The current medical gout treatment has side effects. But, these natural remedies for gout have little to no side effects.

Gout is a situation where there is a buildup of uric acid. The crystals primarily build up in the big toe, but they can build up in other places as well.

This protocol for gout involves natural remedies that help excrete uric acid and remedies for pain during a gout attack.

It’s important to note that eliminating sugar and alcohol from your diet may help improve gout symptoms. You can also try drinking more water and raising the pH of your urine to help with the symptoms of gout.

The best foods for gout are probiotic foods like sauerkraut and kimchi. Consuming large salads may also be beneficial.

The best natural gout protocol:
1. White Chinese mulberry extract
2. Chinese cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia)
3. Omega-3 fatty acids (cod liver oil)
4. Alpha-lipoic acid
5. Devil’s claw or cat’s claw (for pain relief)
6. Iporuru (for pain relief)

Try this protocol for at least two to three weeks, and I think you’re going to notice a difference.

Allopurinol for Gout: How Does that Work?! - Plus 5 tips for Treatment Success
Allopurinol for Gout: How Does that Work?! - Plus 5 tips for Treatment Success Side Effects 0 Views • 2 months ago

PHARMACIST Fi shares the very clever way allopurinol works to reduce uric acid level for people with gout (if it is suitable for them), then shares 5 ways to try to achieve allopurinol treatment success and minimize risk of rare potentially serious side effects ('rare' meaning that less than 1 in 1000 people who take allopurinol get a serious drug reaction).

Here is the link to the playlist of PHARMACIST Fi videos about gout, and gout treatment medicines which may or may not be prescribed (depending on a person's other medical conditions, other medicines, and kidney and liver function levels):
https://www.youtube.com/playli....st?list=PLwyYRbsDY3j

Please note that the next paragraphs (below this paragraph) are for doctors, so if you are a person with gout who is taking allopurinol: DON'T make any changes to your allopurinol dose unless you have been advised to do so by your doctor, because sudden increases OR decreases in allopurinol dose may trigger gout attacks (also called gout flares) in some people during the early months of allopurinol treatment when urate crystals are still being melted (but you are welcome to give the information below to your doctor, so they can discuss it with you and consider whether or not it might be relevant to your allopurinol dose schedule).

INFO FOR DOCTORS
If you are a doctor, you might find the following info interesting:
In recent years, new dose schedules for the urate-lowering medicine allopurinol are in prescribing guidelines for doctors in places like Australia.
On 18 March 2023, one of the dose schedule options in Australia's Therapeutic Guidelines is (if allopurinol is considered suitable for a particular person with gout who has no kidney problems):
*start the person with gout on allopurinol 50mg once daily for 4 weeks,
*then increase the person's daily dose by 50mg each fortnight or month (depending on their tendency to gout flares) until the person's uric acid level reaches target treatment level for their particular gout presentation (e.g. less than 0.36mmol/L (less than 6mg/dL) if the person has no tophi, or less than 0.3mmol/L (less than 5mg/dL) if the person has any tophi). Please note: this schedule is for people without kidney impairment; lower start dose and slower dose increases with close kidney monitoring are used for people with significant kidney impairment (please see Australian Medicines Handbook 2023 for details).
During this gradual allopurinol dose-increasing process, the Australian Medicines Handbook 2023 recommends serum uric acid testing every 2 to 5 weeks.
It is hoped that by starting with a lower allopurinol dose, then increasing the allopurinol dose less often and by smaller amounts (until serum uric acid target is reached), this modern allopurinol dose schedule may reduce risk of gout flares early in urate-lowering therapy with allopurinol (via smaller uric acid level changes), and also reduce risk of rare, serious potential side effects like allopurinol hypersensitivity syndrome. However, even with this modern allopurinol dose schedule, it is still currently recommended that the person with gout also take an anti-inflammatory medicine to prevent gout flares (if suitable for their medical conditions, kidney & liver function, & medicines; e.g. colchicine or NSAID, if suitable) during the early phase of allopurinol treatment when their uric acid level is changing and urate crystals have not yet been completely dissolved.

When allopurinol's dose has been gradually increased enough to enable a person with gout's serum uric acid level to decrease down to the 'target level' and stay there consistently, allopurinol is then continued at that dose (the 'maintenance dose' for that person), with blood tests once or twice per year to check whether that dose is keeping their serum uric acid level consistently at target level, or whether any dose adjustment might be needed (for example, if the person's usual drinks & foods or kidney function have changed since the last uric acid blood test, these factors might potentially change their uric acid level - especially if they have slower uric acid transporters in their kidneys or intestines [due to genetics] making them slower to get rid of uric acid than other people).

Allopurinol and colchicine are both used to treat gout by reducing uric acid. Allopurinol is a medication used to reduce the amount of uric acid in the blood, while colchicine is used to reduce inflammation and swelling.

Both medications are safe for most clients – but as a nurse, you must be aware of their differences and implications when administering these medications.

Allopurinol for Gout: 'Some Need-to-Know Info'! - PHARMACIST Fi Medicine Safety
Allopurinol for Gout: 'Some Need-to-Know Info'! - PHARMACIST Fi Medicine Safety Side Effects 0 Views • 2 months ago

PHARMACIST Fi takes a look at some important rare ('rare' meaning that it happens to less than 1 in 1000 people who take this medicine) safety risks, that a lot of people may not know about, for a medicine commonly used to treat gout - which is called allopurinol (with brand names like Zyloprim, Aloprim, Progout or Allosig).

In this video, PHARMACIST Fi mentions that if you think you may have any side effects from allopurinol: use the side effects section of your allopurinol Medicine Information (CMI) or call your doctor immediately to find out what to do.
This very important, because some allopurinol side effects may potentially be part of a life-threatening reaction so they need to be checked and treated immediately - for example in the nearest hospital emergency department, whereas other side effects may be less risky and can wait until your next doctor's appointment - so read your CMI or ask your doctor, so you can find out which side effects need to be checked by a doctor immediately!

or, alternatively, PHARMACIST Fi will be making a PDF version of her 'PHARMACIST Fi Medicines, Allergies and Contacts List' available to download from her website (https://www.pharmacistfi.com ) soon - and you will be very welcome to use that to make your Medicines, Allergies and Contacts List, if you like!

The 'CMI' PHARMACIST Fi mentions in this video is 'Consumer Medicine Information', which is called a 'Medication Guide' in the U.S.A., or a 'Patient Information Leaflet' in the U.K.; each medicine has its own CMI, which either comes with the medicine or can be printed or emailed to you by a pharmacist or doctor. Here are links to some PHARMACIST Fi videos with more info about CMIs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79CF6A5ZZ3I

CMIs also have a lot of other very useful information about your medicine, which PHARMACIST Fi will chat about in some of her 'Medicine Safety - 7 Things You Can Do!' series - especially the overview video and the first and second explainer videos - so feel free to watch those videos, too!

If you live elsewhere, and if your medicine doesn't come with medicines information in the container or attached to it, ask your pharmacist to give you some specific medicine information for each of your medicines.

Please note that this PHARMACIST Fi video did not cover all reasons for allopurinol use, nor all dose protocols for how to take allopurinol, nor all side effects or interactions, so please refer to your allopurinol CMI or product information or ask your doctor or pharmacist for further info!

If there is a medicine you would like PHARMACIST Fi to look at in an upcoming video, please feel free to post her a message about it beneath one of her videos.
