Going off the Pill Experience | YAZ : Physical & Emotional Symptoms / Helpful resources / FAQs
Going off the Pill Experience | YAZ : Physical & Emotional Symptoms / Helpful resources / FAQs Side Effects 6 Views • 5 months ago

In this video I discuss, in detail, my experience going off the pill. I was on Yaz for 6 years and have been off for over 3 years now. I went on Yaz as a contraceptive at the age of 21. Now, 29, I reflect back on my contraceptive pill journey and share information I wish I had had earlier. This video starts with some relevant background information and why I went off the pill. What was the final straw that led to me taking the plunge with little to no preparation? In between I detail a few things I wish I had done and things I did do that were helpful along the way, and towards the end of the video I complete these lists.
I share all the physical things I experienced that I can think of - including swollen boobs, bloating, acne, period pains and my general PMS. I then move on to the emotional things I experienced that came as a big surprise. I also share some things I did that that I think were helpful, including yoga, general health things, stress management and more. Finally I share some helpful resources (that helped me a lot), some concluding remarks and then a final physical / emotional thing I forgot to share at the beginning of the video.

Yaz Tablet Uses | Side Effects & Dosage
Yaz Tablet Uses | Side Effects & Dosage Side Effects 5 Views • 5 months ago

Yaz Tablet | Uses, Side Effects, Dosage, Review

Yaz is a hormonal contraceptive agent that combines drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol. It is primarily used to prevent pregnancy but also has other benefits such as managing acne in females over 14 years and alleviating symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). The medication works by suppressing ovulation, altering the uterine environment, and thickening cervical mucus, making it difficult for sperm to fertilize an egg. Despite its effectiveness, Yaz can lead to side effects such as unusual spotting, nausea, breast tenderness, and headaches. More serious side effects may include mood changes, severe headaches, and symptoms indicative of blood clots or liver issues. It's essential to consult a healthcare provider before starting Yaz, especially for individuals with a history of breast cancer, liver, kidney, or heart problems, or those who smoke and are over 35 years of age. Regular health monitoring is recommended to mitigate potential risks. While Yaz can effectively manage hormonal acne and PMDD, it is crucial to adhere to prescribed dosages and report any adverse reactions promptly.

If You Suffer from Premenstrual Dysphoria - Watch This Side Effects 3 Views • 5 months ago

PMDD stands for premenstrual dysphoric disorder. This is not to be confused with Premenstrual Syndrome or PMS. PMS is changes in mood during certain parts of the menstrual cycle. It affects 80% of women. The mood changes can be mild to moderate. In fact, some women will just see it as feeling a little moody the week before their menstrual cycle.

PMDD is a severe form of PMS. It’s almost like turning into the werewolf when the full moon rises. For some people, it’s just that drastic. It affects 3% - 8% of women. So it’s not as common as PMS.

We treat PMDD with antidepressants or hormone therapy. I show you why some women get PMDD and why the antidepressants help. I discuss the difference between intermittent and continuous dosing with antidepressants. I also discuss the two main hormone treatments.
If you do not want to take any kind of medication, you can try lifestyle changes. The first are diet modifications such as eliminating caffeine, sugar, nicotine and alcohol and minimizing sodium. You would combine this with sleeping 7-9 hours a night and getting regular exercise – like 3-5 times a week.

Some nutritional supplements have shown to be helpful. These would be Calcium 1200mg/day, Vitamin B6 50-100mg/day. Other supplements would be Magnesium 200 – 360mg/day, Vitamin E 400 IU/day.

There are some herbal remedies that have been shown in studies to be helpful.
Agnus castus fruit extract, also known as chasteberry and Gingko biloba.

Yaz Lawsuit and Side Effects
http://Yaz-Lawsuit.info

Attention Yaz users. Did you take Yaz and later suffered from blood clots? The Us Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers about Bayer's birth control pill Yaz and Yasmin that they can cause blood clots, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in women. Yaz birth control pill is an oral contraceptive for women, but recent studies announced by the FDA shows that substances used in Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella and other birth control pills, increases potassium levels in the blood, which raises the risks of blood clot formation and pulmonary embolism. These clots commonly occured in the arms, legs and other extremities. The FDA found that Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals had failed to provide sufficient labeling to warn against the serious dangers of Yaz. If you took Yaz and suffered from blood clots or other complications, then you may be entitled to compensation. Find out if you qualify for compensation. Watch more How to Pick a Birth Control Method videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/....510835-What-Is-Yaz-B

Learn what Yaz is in this Howcast video about birth control.

Yaz is a combined birth control pill that has both estrogen and drospirenone. You may not be familiar with the name drospirenone, but it causes the same effect on the lining of the uterus as progesterone, but the medication is different. If you are considering Yaz as a form of birth control, talk to your doctor or your nurse practitioner. Although it is a slightly different formulation than your everyday birth control pill, it is equally as effective as the birth control pills you're familiar with.

Some of you may be wondering what is the difference between Yaz and Yasmin. More importantly, what is the difference between Yaz, Yasmin, and the birth control pills that you may be taking? Yaz and Yasmin have estrogen, just like the regular birth control pills you're familiar with. The difference is that the Yaz and the Yazmin have drospirenone. That component of the birth control pill is different than the regular birth control pills you may be familiar with.

The difference between the Yaz and the Yasmin, however, although they both contain estrogen and drospirenone, the balance between estrogen and progesterone are different and the amount of active pills versus placebo pills are also different.

If you are considering Yaz and Yasmin as a form of birth control pills for you, you may want to talk to your doctor or nurse practitioner about the difference between the Yaz and Yasmin. They're both equally as effective as the regular birth control pills that you're familiar with, but it may be a better birth control option for you.

Yaz Lawyer
Yaz Health Alert
Hello. I'm Andrew Bederman of the law firm of Greenberg and Bederman, which practices in the Washington, DC Metro area.

It's no secret that every birth control pill has a small element of risk. One of the acting ingredients in almost every oral contraceptive on the market is a hormone called progestin, which works in combination with estrogen to both prevent the egg from dropping and to prevent sperm from moving into the uterus.

The use of progestin in birth control pills has been shown in some rare cases to increase the risk of blood clotting among some women who use them. The numbers of these cases have been small enough over the years to make the use of progestin an acceptable risk. But the Bayer Corporation has not only put an oral contraceptive on the market that dramatically increases the odds of blood clotting, but has also engaged in advertising that downplayed the risks involved.

The pills in question are sold under the names Yaz, Yasmin, and a generic version called Oscella. These contraceptives were marketed as pills that can not only prevent pregnancy, but can also prevent acne and symptoms of PMS. The FDA cited Bayer this year for running misleading television commercials and last month for not following proper quality-control procedures at a plant that makes hormone ingredients. But the significant problem with Yaz, Yasmin and Oscella is that the key ingredient is a synthetic variation of progestin called drospirenone, which has been shown to increase the level of potassium in the blood and therefore increases the risks of blood clotting.

Yaz and Yasmin have received a litany of complaints from users and sanctions and penalties from the Food and Drug Administration. Between 2004 and 2008, the FDA has received fifty separate reports of deaths among women who were using either Yaz or Yasmin. The FDA has forced Bayer to change its advertising for these pills because they failed to adequately mention the higher risks of blood clotting and other very real medical dangers. These reports of deaths and injuries have caused the FDA to start a study comparing the risks of clotting and strokes between Bayer’s line of contraceptives and others that are on the market, mainly because they believe Bayer's initial study to be faulty.

It isn't only in America where these pills are having a detrimental effect on the lives of the women who use them. The medical regulatory board in Switzerland is currently investigating Yaz and Yasmin due to the death of a young woman who died of a pulmonary embolism. She had been taking Yaz for ten months.

Since these contraceptives have been put on the market, more and more women who use these pills have come forward to the Food and Drug Administration with stories of severe injuries due to strokes, pulmonary embolisms and heart attacks. The frequency of these reports has increased to the point where they can't be ignored or written off as “rare birth control side effects." And we believe the fact that Bayer advertised these products so heavily without properly warning potential users of these very real dangers was reckless and irresponsible.

The birth control pill, Yasmin, and it's smaller cousin YAZ, may contribute to a higher risk of cardiovascular problems including blood clots, stroke, and death.

Recent studies published in the British Medical Journal reveal that women who use Yaz™ or Yasmin™ oral contraceptives are more than twice as likely to suffer serious health complications than women using other oral contraceptives. Yaz™ and Yasmin™ have been linked with the following serious health complications:

heart attack
stroke
organ failure
gall bladder disease
blood clots/deep vein thrombosis
pulmonary embolism
If you have taken Yaz™ or Yasmin™ and have suffered a serious health consequence, you may be entitled to compensation from the pharmaceutical company.

Birth control warning: Yaz responsible for deaths of three Japanese women
Birth control warning: Yaz responsible for deaths of three Japanese women Side Effects 4 Views • 5 months ago

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced on Friday that there is irrefutable proof of a direct correlation between taking the oral contraceptive Yaz, which has been on the market since 2010, and increased risk of thromboembolism. The ministry said three women have in Japan died from blood clots caused by taking the popular birth control pill and called on manufacturer Bayer to include warning information in the drug's package insert.

Yaz contains estrogenic and progestational compounds, which help regulate hormonal balance and reduce menstrual cramps. However, taking the estrogenic hormone can lead to blood clots, increasing the risk of thrombosis.

The first victim was a woman in her 20s who died from a blood clot in the brain last June two weeks after taking Yaz. The second victim was in her early teens. Blood clots were found in her lungs last September after she died. The latest victim was a woman in her 40s who died from blood clots in her lungs and legs this January.

Doctors suggest immediately that you immediately stop using the pill and seek emergency medical care if you develop any of the following symptoms: acute pains in the lower extremities; oedema, also known as dropsy; sudden shortness of breath; chest pain; severe headache; paralysis or weakness of the extremities; alalia, or inability to speak; and acute loss of vision.

Bayer Pharmaceuticals, manufacturer of the birth control drugs Yaz and Yasmin and their generic versions Ocella and Gianvi, marketed by Teva Pharmaceuticals, agreed to settle over 8,250 claims for $1.7 billion. Launched in 2001, Yaz and Yasmin were the first brands of birth control pills to utilize a type of synthetic hormone to suppress ovulation in women and prevent pregnancy.

Multiple studies show a dramatic increase of having a heart attack, stroke, developing blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, or suffering a pulmonary embolism if you have taken these birth control pills. Other claims allege gallbladder injuries. In 2008, the FDA announced that between 2004 and 2008, more than 50 deaths had been reported allegedly caused by these pills. And the FDA's own study found a 74% increased risk of blood clots among those taking these pills. Due to Bayer Pharmaceutical's aggressive advertising, Yaz, especially, has become one of the most popularly prescribed birth control pills in the country. Millions of women around the world have taken these pills, and there are currently over 3,000 pending lawsuits alleging that patients were not told of the severe and deadly side effects.

Our goal at Moll Law Group is to inform consumers of potentially dangerous products and provide assistance with the filing of claims. Yaz & Yasmin Related to Increased Risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis - Attorney Gerard Ryan Explains
Yaz & Yasmin Related to Increased Risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis - Attorney Gerard Ryan Explains Side Effects 2 Views • 5 months ago

Attorney Gerard Ryan of Parker Waichman talks about how women everywhere have come to rely on birth control options such as Yaz and Yasmin, but are they safe?

This generation of birth control pills includes a hormone called drospirenone. The hormone is a diuretic and slows the blood flow of your body. This complication has led to heart attacks, strokes, and even death for patients using Yaz or Yasmin. The drug can also cause a condition called deep vein thrombosis (commonly referred to as DVT). What this condition does is throw blood clots throughout the body and this blocks blood flow to vital organs. Blood clots can be extremely severe and lead to death in a number of cases. Watch this video now to learn more.

First of all if you want to become pregnant you should stop using a combined contraceptive pill, however if you accidentally use it once while pregnant there seem to be no adverse effects for your unborn baby.

The NEW link to my Motherhood Superguide (please disregard the link below, or change the .com domain to .co!): http://itlist.co/i/204/motherhood-superguide GOING OFF HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL. Here is my birth control experience and what going off the pill has been like. *NOTE: watch the video to learn about the forms of contraception we are using right now. I officially went off the pill back in September 2020 (after 11 years of being on it).

Thank you to Doctor Jolene Brighten for the amazing interview! https://drbrighten.com/

This is SUCH a complex topic, so there are a few things that you should know up-front:
1. This is just my story...everyone is different.
2. I am NOT anti-birth control pills.
3. My aim is not to scare people...I just want to encourage you to take charge of your own health!

After making an Instagram post about my experience with the pill (https://www.instagram.com/p/CJmDZmVLSpX/?hl=en) I had hundreds of people reaching out to me with similar stories. I started taking the pill at 17 for no other reason except to prevent pregnancy...and it worked for me! It also got rid of my teenage hormonal acne and took away painful periods, as well. For most people, the pill prevents pregnancy without OTHER random side effects, but that was just not the case for me!

At 17, it felt like going on the pill was just a rite of passage. And when I asked my doctor about the side effects, they just told me about clearer skin and lighter periods. There were other potential side effects on the side of the package, but given my unique family health history, I didn’t seem to be at risk for any of that. It seemed like a miracle pill to me! In addition to all of this, I was also told that I could skip over the final week in my pack and skip my period (or my “bleed week”) altogether if I wanted. I still do not know if this is okay to do, but I was told by multiple doctors that it was fine.

Fast forward 8 years and I was suffering from abdominal pain, specifically on the right side right below the rib cage. In 2017, I had my gallbladder removed. After experiencing this, I went back to the pamphlets in my birth control and saw that it can cause gallbladder disease - in rare instances. You never think you are going to be a “rare instance” until you are one. I have talked to 2 separate doctors that agree that the pill was most likely the cause of losing my gallbladder. To watch my cholecystectomy story, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apPph34W_JQ

In 2020, I discovered Alisa Vitti and her book “In the Flo.” She talks all about hormonal health and using our hormones to our advantage when it comes to energy and more. This led me to another book called “Beyond the Pill” by Dr. Jolene Brighten. Her book was packed full of information about the pill, the process of coming off it, and Post Birth Control Syndrome (PBCS). This book inspired me to get off the pill and never look back.

So, how’s it going now that I’ve been off for about 5 months? The first couple of months were pretty great - everything seemed fine, no breakouts, AND my period came back after 49 days! But then, everything went haywire. I stopped getting my period, my skin started breaking out, my back broke out, my hair began falling out, and I was getting a migraine every day (this lasted about 3 months).

So what are we doing now? As I mention in the video, we are still NOT trying to get pregnant (I want to normalize my hormones first), so for the time being, we are just using condoms...I also recently started using Natural Cycles (stay tuned on my IG for more!).

I will keep you all updated on my personal status and where I am at since coming off the pill...so stay tuned! Let me know down in the comments section if you had a similar story with birth control.
