Uses:
Prevention of Nausea/Vomiting
Motion sickness
Death rattle
Prevention of Anesthesia Induced N/V
Muscle spasm (smooth muscles of the GIT)
Parkinson’s disease
Parkinson like conditions
As an anticholinergic agent
In Parkinson Tremor, use:
0.4mg to 0.8mg PO q8hrs PRN
Motion Sickness
1 patch behind hairless ear 4 hours before motion
Replace after a total of 72 hours
NB: Remove patch once you’re having the following symptoms:
Eyes pain
Ocular redness
Blurred vision
Can’t urinate
Heart racing
Fainting spells
Please, wash hands thoroughly after handling scopolamine
