Enduring Activity: Updates in Pediatrics: Management of Antipsychotic Medications

Target Audience
This activity is targeted towards pediatricians, IM/P, and family practitioners.

Statement of Need
Our learners need the knowledge and strategies to assist in recognizing, evaluating and treating common and not so common problems presenting in a primary care setting, including when it is appropriate to refer.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
Define different types of antipsychotics.
Delineate the side effects of different antipsychotics.
Discuss the monitoring requirements for patients on antipsychotics.
Discuss when and how to start patients on antipsychotics.
