➡️ Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is one of the eight B vitamins that play a role in our body systems. It's a water-soluble vitamin that is involved in cell metabolism and the production of DNA. When your body doesn't absorb enough of this vitamin, this is known as having a deficiency which can be detrimental to your overall health.

➡️ Signs and Symptoms
- Anemia
- Fatigue
- Pale skin
- Mood swings
- Dizziness
- Blurred vision
- Mouth pain
- Tingling in your hands and feet

➡️ How Long to Recover from B12 Deficiency?
Recovery from vitamin B12 deficiency doesn't happen overnight. The process occurs gradually and can take up to six to twelve months to fully recover. However, there are certain treatment methods that can help you see immediate results in as little as 72 hours. But, to fully recover, it's likely going to occur gradually over time. If you’ve noticed any of the symptoms that I mentioned, the best course of action is to seek guidance from your physician. They will test your blood and be able to recommend the proper treatment method for your individual needs.

➡️ Treatment Methods
- Dietary changes
- B12 injections
- Oral B12 supplements
- Treating the underlying health condition

➡️ Vitamin B12 Foods
- Beef
- Chicken
- Fish
- Milk
- Cheese
- Eggs

The next easiest way is to consider taking an oral vitamin B12 supplement. However, some individuals are unable to absorb B12 from foods or supplements. In this case, a B12 injection would be the best method for treatment. Your physician will attempt to treat the underlying condition that could be causing the vitamin B12 deficiency in the first place. Obviously, this would be the most effective treatment method.

Vitamin B12 - How Often & The Dangers Of Taking Too Much
Vitamin B12 - How Often & The Dangers Of Taking Too Much Side Effects 0 Views • 24 days ago

Dr. Klaper tells us about vitamin b12 benefits and the dangers of vitamin b12 deficiency. Due to modern sanitation, there is very little b12 vitamin in a plant based diet so we must take vitamin b12 vegan supplements. Both Methylcobalamin and Cyanocobalamin are about the same in terms of vitamin b12 absorption. Dr. Klaper warns that taking too much vitamin b12 has been shown to potentially increase the risk of certain cancers.

Question: Does our body store Vitamin B12? Do we need to take it daily?

Has your doctor ever told you that your B12 levels are too high, based on your blood work? Or maybe your levels were normal so, you’re wondering if you should even take any supplement that has B12 in it. Well, don’t worry.

In this video, I’ll help you understand exactly how much B12 your body needs and I'll help you determine just how much vitamin B12 is too much. Believe it or not, most of us are at a higher risk of not getting enough of this vitamin, rather than too much.
To understand how much your body needs, especially if you’re battling peripheral neuropathy, I'll familiarize you with two guidelines used for determining the number of nutrients necessary for our health. The RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) and the ODA (Optimum Daily Allowance). Learn the difference between these two and the difference it makes on your nerve recovery.

Let’s talk about the first sign of methylcobalamin deficiency.

Methylcobalamin is vitamin B12, and it’s essential for DNA, red blood cells, and your myelin sheath. Vitamin B12 also helps support your spinal column and brain.

If you’re deficient in vitamin B12, you could experience tingling, numbness, or burning sensations.

Other signs of vitamin B12 deficiency can include:
• Chronic pain
• Depression
• Muscle wasting
• Blurry vision
• Tinnitus
• Anemia
• Mouth ulcers
• Sore throat
• Hair loss

You could also experience symptoms if you have too much vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 toxicity will typically occur if you’re taking too much synthetic vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin)—not the natural version (methylcobalamin).

Cyanocobalamin can build up in the body and cause symptoms such as:
• Acne
• Palpitations
• Anxiety
• Red cheeks
• Headaches
• Insomnia
• Akathisia
• Suicidal thoughts

You could be deficient in vitamin B12 long before you start to feel any effects. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t damage being done. One of the first symptoms you would eventually feel is extreme fatigue.

Foods high in vitamin B12 are animal products. There is no vitamin B12 in plants.

Top causes of vitamin B12 deficiency:
• Malabsorption
• Plant-based or vegan diets
• Gastric bypass
• Atrophy of the stomach
• Gastritis
• H. pylori infection
• Ulcers
• Inflammation in the intestines
• Aspirin
• Alcohol
• Junk foods
• Antibiotics
• Antacids or PPIs
• Birth control pills
• Pregnancy
• Lactation
• Smoking
• Polymorphism

➡️ Vitamin B12 Benefits
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is one of the eight B vitamins that play a role in our body systems. It's a water-soluble vitamin that is involved in cell metabolism and the production of DNA.

➡️ Boosts Energy Levels
One of the key roles that vitamin B12 plays in the human body is involved in energy production. It helps to produce red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body. This increased flow of oxygen can help naturally boost your energy levels and decrease levels of fatigue.

➡️ Helps Create New Red Blood Cells
I mentioned this earlier, but vitamin B12 is essential for the production of new red blood cells. Red blood cells are important because they carry oxygen throughout the body, which is necessary for all of our organs and tissues to function properly.

➡️ Helps Prevent Anemia
Anemia is a condition that occurs when there are not enough red blood cells in the body. This can lead to a variety of symptoms, such as fatigue, shortness of breath, and pale skin. Vitamin B12 can help to prevent anemia by helping to increase the production of red blood cells.

➡️ Supports the Nervous System
Vitamin B12 is very important for the health of the nervous system. This vitamin helps to keep the nerve cells functioning properly and can even help prevent neurological conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

➡️ Improves Heart Health
One study found that those with high levels of vitamin B12 were actually at a lower risk of heart disease. Vitamin B12 helps to keep levels of homocysteine to a minimum. Homocysteine is an amino acid that has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease.

➡️ Reduces the Risk of Depression
Depression is a common mental health condition that can lead to a number of negative consequences. Researchers believe that a vitamin B12 deficiency may contribute to the development of depression.

➡️ Supports Bone Health
Bone health is important for everyone, but it's especially essential for the aging population. Vitamin B12 plays a critical role in the formation of new bones and even helps maintain aging bones as well.

➡️ Reduces the Risk of Macular Degeneration
Macular degeneration is a condition that affects the retina and can lead to blindness. It is the leading cause of vision loss in adults.

➡️ Promotes Healthy Skin and Hair
Vitamin B12 is essential for the health of our hair and skin, and it helps both appear healthy and hydrated. Some researchers believe that it can even help promote hair growth by keeping the scalp healthy.

➡️ Prevents Birth Defects
This vitamin plays an important role in the development of an infant. As previously mentioned, it helps with the creation of new red blood cells and helps to keep the nervous system healthy.

Today we're going to talk about a type of vitamin B12 I would avoid: cyanocobalamin.

Cyanocobalamin is a synthetic version of vitamin B12. It's a very cheap version, and it's hiding in many fortified grain foods, synthetic vitamins, energy drinks, B12 injections, and even infant formulas. It's also typically present in very high doses in these products.

The problem is that there is a cyanide molecule attached to the cobalamin. Cyanide shuts down the oxygen to your mitochondria.

Potential side effects of cyanocobalamin:
• Vomiting
• Stomach problems
• Low potassium
• Headaches
• Fever
• Dizziness

It's true that the liver can detoxify small amounts of cyanide. But what if someone consumes large amounts of products containing this synthetic B12?

Some people also have problems with their detoxification genes that could cause them to have trouble getting rid of cyanide. Another common genetic problem with methylation can cause the effects of synthetic vitamin B12 to be worse.

The best form of vitamin B12 is the natural version called methylcobalamin. This version is the active form of vitamin B12 and stays in the body longer than the synthetic versions.

Potential benefits of methylcobalamin:
• It may help improve sleep
• It can decrease the need for sleep
• It can help you wake up feeling alert and refreshed
• It can help you fall asleep faster
• It's great for the nervous system (especially the myelin sheath)
• It supports healthy eyes
• It increases melatonin
• It decreases homocysteine
• It can help regulate cortisol
• It supports the red blood cells

Causes of vitamin B12 deficiency:
• Not consuming foods high in vitamin B12
• Stomach inflammation
• H. pylori
• Low stomach acid
• Gastric bypass
• Inflammation in the intestines

Are There Symptoms Of High B12?
Are There Symptoms Of High B12? Side Effects 0 Views • 24 days ago

Are you having symptoms of high b12? Maybe you're having anxiety, headaches, heart palpitations in other symptoms that you think are related to high B12 levels? In this video, we're gonna look the symptoms associated with taking b12 and why I think high B12 symptoms are probably a reflection Of some other process going on in your body.

Learn More in My Book "Don't B12 Deficient":
https://geni.us/SNe6 (Amazon)

**WORK WITH ME ⭐️ : https://www.swintegrativemedic....ine.com/about-us/mee

So the thing is, high B12 levels should not actually cause symptoms. However, there are two things to note about this question or concern of high B12 levels and symptoms. The first is vitamin B12 supplementation, whether it's an injection taken by mouth or under the tongue, can cause side effects. It's not very common, but it can't happen. This can be symptoms like anxiety, heart palpitations, headaches, et cetera. These symptoms can occur , even when you take a small dose of vitamin b12.
00:00 Introduction to High B12 Symptoms and Overview
01:11 Understanding High B12 Levels and Associated Symptoms
03:25 Conclusion and Invitation for Questions
So it's typically not from high B12 levels but something intrinsic with how that person is processing the vitamin b12. And sometimes it could be the type of B12 too. It's also true that a small dose is less likely to cause these side effects, but it's really not the high serum blood levels that's causing these side effects with b12.

We know this because if we change to a different form, the person doesn't seem to have the same side effects. The other thing is that high B12 levels in and of themselves do not cause symptoms typically. However, high B12 blood levels can be a sign of some other problem going on.

Just to be clear, a high level of B12 in your blood does not tell us that you have a problem, but it may be an indicator of a problem. What problem might that be? Well, there's a lot of possibilities. One being mass cell activation syndrome, which can cause a wide array of different symptoms, including anxiety, heart palpitations, headaches, hives, skin rash, et cetera.

B12 side effects are also more common in people with mass cell activation syndrome. So symptoms of high B12 may be a reflection of something else going on in your body. If you have high B12 levels and you're having certain symptoms going on maybe it has more to do with something internally going on and not the B12 itself.

So if you have these symptoms going on and you're thinking that it's a B12 causing the symptoms you may be looking in the wrong place.

The BEST & WORST Forms of Vitamin B12
The BEST & WORST Forms of Vitamin B12 Side Effects 0 Views • 24 days ago

Vitamin B12 is incredibly important and many people simply don't get enough.

And if you don't get enough then you'll end up with symptoms like fatigue, hair loss, weight gain, brain fog, depression, nerve problems, heart palpitations, and anemia.

That's one problem. The other is that the form of B12 that most people use is the wrong one.

Let's talk about the 4 most common forms of vitamin B12, which one(s) you should use, and which one(s) you should avoid:

1. Cyanocobalamin

This is probably the worst form of vitamin B12 because it's synthetic (not natural), it comes attached to cyanide that must be metabolized, and it requires activation by the body before it can be used.

2. Adenosylcobalamin

Adenosylcobalamin is one of two active forms of vitamin B12 and it's found primarily in the mitochondria where it helps create ATP for your cells.

3. Methylcobalamin

Methylcobalamin is another active form of B12 which is found in the cytoplasm where it helps eliminate homocysteine.

4. Hydroxycobalamin

Hydroxycobalamin is an intermediate form of B12 that is more stable than adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin but is not as active.

Which form should you use? The best case scenario is to use the 3 active (and intermediate) forms all together so that even if you have a B12 metabolism genetic defect or polymorphism, your body can still utilize the B12.

A combination of 1,000 mcg of methylcobalamin plus 1,000 mcg of adenosylcobalamin plus 1,000 mcg of hydroxycobalamin would be ideal.

Not sure if you need to use B12? Check out this video next:

Are you having B12 side effects? Maybe you're having heart palpitations, anxiety, headaches, things like this can be associated with B12 in some circumstances. In this video we're gonna go into what you can do when you're having B12 side effects, how to get over that hump and still be able to take the b12 .

Are you having B12 side effects? Maybe you're having heart palpitations, anxiety, headaches, things like this can be associated with B12 in some circumstances. My name's Dr. Terry, and in this video we're gonna go into what you can do when you're having B12 side effects, how to get over that hump and still be able to take the b12. All right, let's connect the dots on B12 side.

So B12 side effects are not very common, but they can occur and sometimes it's hard to know ahead of time which people are gonna have those side effects. So in this video, I want to go into some of the problems and solutions that you can use to get over this hump if it's happening to you. Now, first things first, we wanna assume that you have a really good reason to be taking b12.

Either you're deficient in some way, suboptimal levels. Maybe your doctor told you you need to take b12. Some good reason to. So now you get your b12, you start taking it, and all of a sudden you start having these side effects. What are you gonna do then? Well, first thing I want you to do is look at the type of B12 that you have.

So B12 is a cobalamin molecule with a charge to it, which means it has to be bound to something else. So there's four things that it could be bound to. It could be bound to a methyl group, a hydroxyl group, an adenosyl group, or a cyano group. So usually it's from one of these groups rather than the cyano-molecule itself that's causing the issues.

So first you wanna check which type of B12 you're actually taking. The most common let's distributed and sold is actually the cyanocobalmin and the cyano is basically a cyanide molecule. Of course, cyanide is toxic substance. So why they're still making this. I don't know, but that definitely could be causing some of your side effects, so you wanna avoid that one.

The next one that can cause side effects, but is also commonly used because of its benefits is the methyl. Now generally, this is the type that I recommend and use initially, especially in people that I don't expect to have these kinds of side effects. But because it has the benefits of improving energy, helping with mental clarity and things that B12 are generally associated with in terms of helping you feel better.

However, if you're someone that tends to get more anxiety, sleep disturbance, inflammation, and generally just don't do well with vitamins, medications, supplementation in general, you may wanna start with a different type. That type is gonna be hydroxyl or Aden. These are just less likely to cause the issue.

They're still gonna have the caalin molecule that's gonna support your overall B12 levels. So check out the description for a link for one that you can trust and remember, this isn't the only reason that people get side effects from b12. There's several others, and I've gone into that in other videos.

So if you're still having problems or you're curious, Check out those videos as well. So that's all I had for this video on what to do for B12 side effects. So what do you think? Did this help you with your B12 side effects?

What Causes B12 Side Effects?
What Causes B12 Side Effects? Side Effects 0 Views • 24 days ago

Are you having B12 side effects, like heart palpitations or digestive issue after taking B12 or B vitamins?  In this video, we look at these side effects and what typically causes them.  We also look at what some of the common side effects are and how common they occur. B12 Side Effects

B12 side effects are not very common.  However, they do occur in a segment of the population.  Most of the time these "side effects" are not a true B12 side effect.  Think about it.  B12 is an essential part of our natural biochemistry.  To have a side effect to that is contradictory to how your biochemistry naturally works.  That doesn't mean you can't be sensitive to something in the B12 or B complex that you took or even B12 itself.  Because B12 is an essential part of how your biochemistry works, it's not very common that it is actually B12 causing the side effects or reactions.  More common it is something that's in with the B12 that you took.  Before we get into the common reasons for these side effects or triggers from B12, let's look at the.  Let's look at what some of these side effect reactions etc that people have from taking B12.
Causes of Digestive B12 Side Effects
Nausea, bloating, upset stomach, and various digestive symptoms are one of the more commonly reported side effects from taking B12.  In these cases, they are often taking a B complex that they swallow.  This contains B12 but also has the other B vitamins other than B12.  All B vitamins feed bacteria.  If you get digestive symptoms after taking B12, often there is a bacterial overgrowth or possibly fungal overgrowth creating the digestive symptoms. Anytime patients tell me they have a reaction from taking B vitamins, like nausea or some kind of digestive symptom, I automatically think that they might have some microbial issue.  It's not always the case but it does come to mind.  If that happens to be your issue, taking your B vitamins or B12 in the form of injection, might resolve the issue.  We wouldn't expect the injection to do this because it bypasses the overgrowth.
Causes of Anxiety B12 Side Effects
Another common side effect or issue reported from taking B12 or B vitamins is anxiety, heart palpitations and difficulty sleeping.  B12 definitely can do this but it is more common for other B vitamins to do this.  If you get a B12 injection and it stings, that means it's not just B12.  B12 does not sting but the other B vitamins do.  You want to differentiate which one of them is causing the issue. You could just get B12 alone and see how you react to that.  If you are getting these palpitations from just B12, then you know it from the B12 only.
If you know for sure that you only take B12, swallowing or injection, and you get anxiety or heart palpitations, consider taking a much smaller dose.  Take the smallest amount that you think would not create a reaction.  Start with that and gradually work up to higher doses.  Once you find the dose that is not creating these problems, over time your body may adjust to it and you won't have such a strong reaction.  Sometimes palpitations and anxiety occur when there is a big deficient.  As result, your body will get very stimulated from the B12.  Sometimes the same bacterial issue that causes digestive issues from swallowing the B12 can also cause these heart palpitations, anxiety etc.  The same issue wouldn't be expected though when you take an injection.  If you have both the digestive issues and the anxiety and palpitations when you swallow it, we wouldn't expect the same thing when you take an injection.

Other Cause of B12 Side Effects

Another thing to consider is what's in the B vitamins too.  Sometimes people think they are just taking a plain B 12 or B complex and there are other things in there,  like probiotics or prebiotics and other herbs.  These can cause reactions too.  Make sure you check all the ingredients to ensure you are not sensitive to one of those things.  Also when you take B12 as a sublingual tablet or chewable form, it will usually contain sugar alcohols like xylitol etc.  That gives it sweet taste but those can can definitely cause digestive issue for some people.

If switching the route of administration and dosage don't help, you may also have like a substrate issue.   B12 is used to recycle homocysteine.  Homocysteine comes from amino acid cysteine and methionine.  If your levels of cysteine and methionine are low, the B12 has nothing to do once you intake it.  That's called methyl trapping.  You can check your fasting homocysteine to see if your homocysteine levels are low.  This may indicate  a bigger problem going on (inflammation) or just simply a protein deficiency.  However people with low homocysteine, mostly don't have these negative reactions to taking B12 as an injection or oral.  Still it could be part of the problem in your situation.
