Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz
In this video, Dr. Berg talks about Tamoxifen, which is an estrogen blocker used for certain types of breast disease. The problem is it (tamoxifen, Nolvadex - Tamoxifen Citrate, comes with a package (side effects): lymphoedema from blood clots, increased risk of disease in the uterus and stroke (pulmonary embolism), depression, hot flashes, etc.
But the question is why does your body make estrogen if it's so bad. I believe it's the endogenous estrogen (external or environmental estrogens). If you look at endocrine disruptors, you will find all the chemicals in our environment mimic estrogen. These chemicals can increase your own body's production of estrogen.

Dr. John Link, author of "The Breast Cancer Survival Manual," talks about the pros and cons of Tamoxifen, a hormone medication that reduces the risk of breast cancer.
Tamoxifen was developed in the 1970s. It was traditionally prescribed for five years and decreased recurrence in lungs, bones, and liver by 30 percent. Sadly, doctors discovered that Tamoxifen caused uterine cancer in some women who took it for more than five years. Scientists in Europe who continued testing Tamoxifen for up to ten years found that it decreased over deaths from breast cancer by about four percent. It wasn’t the enormous breakthrough doctors were hoping for, but it was big enough that patients should talk to their doctors about it, to determine if it might be helpful in preventing another cancer diagnosis.

After a hormone positive (ER+) breast cancer diagnosis women are commonly prescribed Tamoxifen which blocks oestrogen from getting to any breast cancer cells. You’d think a small daily tablet wouldn’t do much but the side effects can be horrific. From hot flushes, to achy joints, to weight gain to brain fog. Today I caught up with former breast cancer consultant Liz O’Riordan who had breast cancer twice about how best to cope. Visit us at www.the-c-list.com or @thetittygritty on Instagram x
From our 2021 Best of Breast Virtual Conference, we bring you a multidiscplinary, case-based discussion on breast cancer side effects, featuring Dr. Jennifer Klemp, Dr. Kristina Mirabeau-Beale, Dr. Mayra Lima, and Dr. Kristin Rojas. This expert group will review common symptom management and survivorship issues along the cancer continuum. They will discuss identification and management of common late effects in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, while focusing on the importance of genetic testing at the time of diagnosis and updating testing into extended survivorship. And, they will conceptualize an updated cancer care delivery model for the "whole patient" using a shared care model.

Carbamazepine is used in epilepsy to prevent grand mal and partial seizures. It is also used to treat nerve damage due to diabetes, manic depression, as well as trigeminal neuralgia, which is a condition where sufferers feel an intense stabbing pain in the face.
Each individual's dosage of Gericarb SR will vary depending on their condition and reaction to the drug. The following is a general dosage guide to Gericarb SR.
* For epilepsy the regular starting dose is 100-200 mg once or twice daily. This dose will gradually be increased or decreased to control your fits.
The usual maintenance dose is 400mg - 600mg morning and evening.

Understanding the Common Side Effects of Telmisartan (sold under the brand name: Micardis, which is registered trademark),
Welcome to our educational video by Dr. Lukasz Kiljanek, a Board Certified Nephrologist, Hypertension Specialist, and Internal Medicine physician.
Telmisartan a widely prescribed medication for high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure or kidney disease. While it is highly effective, it's important to be aware of potential side effects. In this video, we'll discuss common side effects.
Cough: Some people might experience a persistent dry cough while taking Telmisartan. If you develop a cough, let your healthcare provider know. There are other medications that provide almost the same benefits as Telmisartan but may not cause a cough.
Dizziness: Dizziness can happen, especially if your blood pressure lowers too much or if you are dehydrated.
High Potassium level: Telmisartan can cause your potassium levels to become high. Your healthcare provider will likely monitor your potassium levels, usually 3-4 weeks after starting Telmisartan or increasing the dose of Telmisartan to make sure potassium stays within a safe range.
Increased creatinine level: Creatinine level can go up, and this sometimes indicates that the medication is actually working. Blood work will be needed to monitor creatinine levels to ensure it remains within safe ranges, usually 3-4 weeks after starting Telmisartan or increasing the dose of Telmisartan.

Amlodipine+telmisartan belongs to the class of anti-hypertensive drugs, primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension is a medical condition in which blood pressure is elevated persistently in the arteries. It is considered an essential risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Amlodipine+telmisartan lowers blood pressure by widening and relaxing blood vessels.
Amlodipine+telmisartan is a fixed-dose combination composed of two medicines, namely, Telmisartan and Amlodipine. Telmisartan belongs to a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It lowers blood pressure and increases blood flow by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels. It is used to lower the chances of stroke, heart attack, and death. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates (widens) blood vessels and increases blood flow. Altogether, it helps to lower high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease.
Amlodipine+telmisartan is available in the form of oral tablets. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. You can take Amlodipine+telmisartan with or without food once a time in a day, as prescribed by the doctor. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. In some cases, Amlodipine+telmisartan can cause side effects, primarily peripheral oedema (swelling in legs and arms), a common cold, backache, diarrhoea, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, rashes, and weakness.

In Hypertension (high blood pressure)
CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet is a combination of two medicines namely Telmisartan and chlorthalidone. It is generally used when one medicine alone is not controlling your blood pressure effectively. Telmisartan works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels so your blood can flow more easily. This will lower your blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is known as a diuretic (water pill) which increases urine output thereby lowering blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well.
