➡️ Wormwood
Wormwood is notorious for being an ingredient in the French liqueur known as absinthe. The ancient Egyptians often used wormwood tea to get rid of tapeworms. Wormwood has also been used historically to treat malaria and other fevers,

➡️ Ginger
The roots of a ginger plant are widely used for food and natural medicinal purposes around the world. Studies found that ginger is rich in bioactive compounds and antioxidants that can reduce oxidative damage.

➡️ Holy Basil
Holy basil is often referred to as the “Queen of Herbs.” This powerful plant can provide many different health benefits for the human body. Holy basil is an adaptogen that helps your body respond to stress. Researchers also believe that its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties can help fight parasites in your gut.

➡️ Black Walnuts
Black walnuts are a tasty, nutritious source of protein and heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids. Many people are unaware that their hulls are packed with antibacterial properties that have been shown to fight pathogens such as Salmonella, Listeria, and E. coli.

➡️ Sage
It's a plant that has been used medicinally for a very long time. Researchers believe that it can slow the progress of dementia, prevent inflammation, and help diabetics manage their blood glucose levels.

➡️ Garlic
While it may not do good things for your breath, garlic does contain properties that are beneficial for other systems within the body. One specific compound found in garlic that I want to point out is known as allicin. It's a defense molecule that has a broad range of biological activities that can provide a boost to the immune system and even prevent certain diseases from occurring.

➡️ Oregano
It's a staple herb in many cuisines around the world that is rich in antioxidants and antimicrobial properties that can help fight certain strains of bacteria. Researchers found that oregano has compounds that can also fight against Cryptosporidium parvum, which is a parasitic disease that affects the intestinal tract.

➡️ Tansy
When English colonists arrived in the New World in the 17th century, they made sure to bring tansy seeds so they would still have access to one of their favorite medicinal plants. Tansy is known for providing several positive health benefits, including helping with digestion, reducing inflammation, easing migraines, and reducing nerve and joint pain.

➡️ Cloves
They are packed with powerful antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties that can break down and destroy cell-scavenging free radicals in the body. Cloves contain a compound known as caryophyllene which is believed to be effective in destroying parasites and killing parasitic eggs that are left behind.

➡️ Cayenne Pepper
One compound in particular that we need to point out is capsaicin. It's known for having vasodilator effects on the body which can lower blood pressure levels. Cayenne pepper is also packed with anti-fungal properties that researchers believe to be effective in fighting against certain types of parasites.

4:22 Bulletproof your immune system (free course!)

Today I want to cover the best herbs for parasites. A parasite is a microorganism like a worm or bacteria that basically lives off of your body but doesn’t give you anything back. Even though your friendly bacteria live off of your body, they are not parasites because they can actually do things for you, such as:
• Give you immune protection
• Help make certain vitamins
• Help make antioxidants
• Eat fiber and convert it to things like butyrate
• Help with your blood sugars

A few symptoms that can occur if someone has parasites:
• Fatigue
• Weight loss
• Itchy private parts
• Bloating
• Nausea
• Diarrhea

The best remedies for parasites:
1. Wormwood
2. Black walnut hulls
3. Garlic
4. Clove
5. Bile salts

Before you start these herbs, you may want to take purified bile salts. You can take three throughout the day on an empty stomach. Then the next day, you could try taking the herbs. When you take the herbs, you may want to start slow and gradually work your way up to the recommended dose on the package.

When you do a parasite cleanse, you may want to do it for at least one month. You could even do it for six weeks before you stop taking it and see how you do. It’s not a bad idea to do this every six months or so.

If you’re trying to get rid of a parasite, you should avoid certain foods, such as:
• Sugar
• Refined carbohydrates
• Milk

Taking apple cider vinegar on a regular basis may also be beneficial to help kill off parasites.

3:06 What herbal remedies are good for detoxification?

Today we're going to talk about detox and die-off. Another name for this is the Herxheimer reaction.

What is detox and die-off (Herxheimer reaction)?

With this, you're likely using a medical antibiotic, a natural herbal antibiotic, a probiotic, or some type remedy that's killing microbes. There are certain things that are being broken down and released, and your immune system is reacting to this.

Symptoms of die-off:

• Flu-like symptoms
• Achy—inflammation
• Fatigue
• Sore throat
• Rash
• Lung mucus
• Coughing
• Swollen glands
• Headaches
• Fever

Your own immune system is creating these symptoms, not the microbe. It's creating an inflammatory state. When it comes to detox programs, it's best to start small and see how your body reacts.

If you started a detox program (this doesn't apply to antibiotics) and you have a reaction, this is what you may want to do:

1. Cut back or stop
2. Go really slow
3. Take activated charcoal
4. Take molybdenum
5. Take NAC

What herbal remedies are good for detoxification?
• Herbal remedies that kill off microbes (for example oregano oil, garlic, thyme, black walnut hull, clove)

So, what are the side effects? I just have to say that in general for herbs you don’t want to think of herbs as giving side effects. Sometimes they have contraindications if you’re taking medications or sometimes there are die-off symptoms. Where in this case that’s what’s happening, the parasites are going to be dying off. There’s naturally going to be an effect of that cause. So, when the parasites are dying what happens is, there’s an inflammatory response that occurs and it releases toxins into the body which causes die-off symptoms such as headache, fatigue, nausea, skin rashes, cravings, mucus, phlegm, increased stomach issues (you might start to have some more stomach upset), breakouts on the skin and face, insomnia and flu-like symptoms.

1:22 Wormwood for cancer
5:53 Learn more about garlic as a natural remedy!

Let’s talk about wormwood. This natural herb has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine.

The synthetic version of wormwood is the most effective treatment for malaria. There is also some interesting research on wormwood for COVID.

Other potential benefits of wormwood:
• It’s anti-parasitic
• It may be effective against worms, viruses, bacteria, and Lyme disease
• It’s anti-viral

What we’re going to focus on today, though, is its effectiveness against cancer.

Potential benefits of wormwood for cancer patients:
1. It can selectively cause apoptosis in cancer cells.

2. It oxidizes a small amount of your iron, turning it into a free radical and directing it to the cancer cell. Oxidized iron is toxic to cancer cells.

3. The phytonutrients in wormwood can inhibit a certain protein complex involved in the process of normal cells converting into cancer cells.

4. It can inhibit normal cells from producing an increase in blood vessels to a tumor.

5. It’s anti-inflammatory and may help stop the formation and spread of cancer.

6. It has an anti-metastatic effect, which means it may help inhibit the growth of cancer.

Rogaine (Minoxidil) vs Witch Hazel Long-Term Comparison For Hair Grow - Which One Does Really Work?

I've been using Rogaine or it's cheaper copies from Walmart or Amazon (e.g. GoodSense Minoxidil Topical Aerosol:
https://amzn.to/3cIdSvp) against men's "normal" hair loss (caused by aging, hormon change and bad DNA (thanks dad ... hahaha)) for many years and then also the Witch Hazel for more than one year. So what's the result, cost and side effect in comparison?

Buy the "Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel 16 Ounce" directly on Amazon with this link (for usually below $5): https://amzn.to/3sL8c9F

21 Benefits and Uses of Witch Hazel

Witch hazel is used in a variety of beauty products. Its unique properties offer medicinal anti-inflammatory and anti-viral qualities that are often used as a topical botanical in skin care.
Witch hazel is a tree-like plant indigenous to North America and parts of Asia. Witch hazel has powerful medicinal properties that can be used in a variety of ways.
Even though there are many species of witch hazel, Hamamelis virginiana, a type of shrub native to North America, is most commonly used in the US, with the leaves and bark made into teas and ointments.
When applied topically, one of the many witch hazel uses is skin care since it is very soothing on the skin. It reduces minor inflammation and reduces swelling and redness. You’ll find many ways to use witch hazel on the skin.
Unfortunately, there are very few scientific studies backing the skin benefits of witch hazel. But because it’s pretty cheap and, in general, doesn’t cause adverse effects, it might be worth giving it a try, particularly, if your skins on the oilier side.

9 Incredible Witch Hazel Benefits For Skin Care (TONER SECRETS)
9 Incredible Witch Hazel Benefits For Skin Care (TONER SECRETS) Side Effects 1 Views • 1 month ago

https://www.epicnaturalhealth.....com/9-incredible-wit
If you’ve been searching for new additions to your natural skincare routine, you might have noticed that witch hazel is starting to make a comeback.
It’s best known for shrinking pores and easing inflammation, and witch hazel is already a key ingredient in a variety of beauty products. The medicinal anti-inflammatory and anti-viral qualities of witch hazel make popular for use in topical skincare.
But is witch hazel worth the hype—and more importantly, is it worth adding it to your medicine cabinet? This video will cover everything you need to know about the potential skin benefits of the natural formula.
First off, what is witch hazel, exactly?
Witch hazel itself is a tree-like plant indigenous to North America and parts of Asia. Of course, when you use witch hazel in a bottle, that’s witch hazel extract, which is taken from either the bark or leaves of the plant. Once it’s harvested, the bark and leaves are distilled to bring out the active chemical compounds of the plant.
Like most other natural remedies, witch hazel is low-cost and easy to get your hands on, and, in general, it doesn’t cause adverse effects. This means if you’re looking to keep your skin happy and healthy, it might be worth giving it a whirl—especially if your skin is on the oilier side.
Now we know the basics about witch hazel, it’s time to get into more detail about its skincare benefits. Here’s what research and studies have found out about witch hazel so far.
1. It can ward off signs of aging
If you’re looking for a natural way to firm up your skin and slow down signs of aging, like scars, redness, discoloration, dryness and puffiness around the eyes, witch hazel might be the perfect natural solution for you. It tightens skin and is protective against skin cancer, melanoma and other damage caused by UV light, thanks to its protective polyphenols and tannin antioxidants. These prevent the spread of melanoma cells and help protect healthy skin cells into older age.
You can use witch hazel in place of irritating chemical anti-aging products that are known to alter oil production and increase skin dryness. Witch hazel has been shown to help protect collagen and skin elasticity just as well as many commercial beauty products – and as an added bonus, it comes at a fraction of the price. Its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties make it great for maintaining the skin’s elasticity, while also helping you deal with the effects of environmental stress on your skin. And because using witch hazel for your pores helps them look smaller, this can make your skin appear more even.
You can easily blend witch hazel with vitamin E oil and other natural ingredients to make your own homemade anti-aging serum. Then apply it straight to discoloured skin, bruises, old acne marks and bites to help fade their appearance and reverse damage. For the best results, combine it with other skin-healthy oils like evening primrose, frankincense and tea tree oils.
2. It can tighten pores
Witch hazel is a rich source of constricting compounds that make the proteins inside skin cells close in. While this result won’t last forever, it’ll temporarily makes your pores appear smaller without drying out your skin.
Try dabbing a bit of witch hazel onto your skin with a cotton bud before bed, then leave it to dry for five minutes. Don’t rinse it off once it’s dried. For extra healing benefits, apply another round of witch hazel to the same areas. Witch hazel is gentle enough that it can be used daily in place of an alcohol-based toner.
3. It can clear acne
Witch hazel is extremely antioxidant-rich, thanks to its tannins content, which act as a natural astringent on the skin that can help to soak up excess oil. And since witch hazel is a natural cleanser, it’s capable of reducing bacteria growth on the skin, and can speed up the time needed to heal infections or scabs.
Another benefit for sensitive skin is that witch hazel helps stop sweating, and reduces the development of blackheads or whiteheads, which can contribute to breakouts and tempt you to pick at your skin. You can avoid irritating acne products altogether and instead use witch hazel, which should lower the severity of blemishes forming under your skin and prevent blackheads caused by oil build-up in pores.
How long it takes for witch hazel to clear acne depends on how severe someone’s acne is. It can take effect in just several days, but it could also take several weeks.
To try it out for yourself, put several drops of witch hazel directly on your skin wherever you notice a spot forming or where acne tends to break out. It’s even more effective when you use it in combination with other antibacterial agents, like tea tree oil, coconut oil or apple cider vinegar. Dab witch hazel on your skin with a clean cotton ball or cotton pads several

Side Effects of Blood Thinners-Dr. Nida Najmi (Urdu)
Side Effects of Blood Thinners-Dr. Nida Najmi (Urdu) Side Effects 1 Views • 1 month ago

Blood thinners have the potential to cause serious side effects if they are not used properly. Too much amount of blood thinner increases your chances to bleed while too little amount of blood thinner in the body will result in clotting of blood.

The major side effect of blood thinners is bleeding. This bleeding is of two types. Minor bleeding and Major bleeding.

Minor bleeding includes gum bleeding, occasional nose bleeds prolonged bleeding after minor cuts, and easy bruising.

Major bleeding includes red or dark-brown urine, red or black tarry stools, vomiting or coughing up blood, severe headache or stomachache, unexplained bruising, frequent gums, and nose bleeds, or any continuous or excessive bleeding.

Same as increased levels of blood thinners or anticoagulants can cause bleeding, too low levels of anticoagulants in the blood can lead to the formation of a clot.

Symptoms of clotting include sudden weakness, pain, swelling or heat in any limb, numbness or tingling anywhere, visual changes or loss of sight in either eye, sudden onset of slurred speech or inability to speak, dizziness or faintness, and shortness of breath.

If you experience any of the above signs and symptoms of bleeding or clotting, contact your doctor or your anticoagulation service provider or visit the near emergency room.

Direct-Acting Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs) | MOA , Indications, Adverse Reactions, Contraindications
Direct-Acting Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs) | MOA , Indications, Adverse Reactions, Contraindications Side Effects 1 Views • 1 month ago

Official Ninja Nerd Website: https://ninjanerd.org

Ninja Nerds!
In this cardiovascular pharmacology lecture, Professor Zach Murphy delivers a high-yield breakdown of the Direct-Acting Oral Anticoagulants (DOACs), also known as NOACs (Novel Oral Anticoagulants)—a newer class of oral agents used as alternatives to warfarin for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders.

We begin by dividing the DOACs into two major categories based on their mechanism of action:
• Direct thrombin inhibitor: Dabigatran—inhibits factor IIa (thrombin)
• Direct factor Xa inhibitors: Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, Edoxaban, Betrixaban—selectively inhibit factor Xa

The lecture walks through pharmacokinetics, dosing considerations, and the predictable anticoagulant effects of DOACs that eliminate the need for routine lab monitoring in most patients. You’ll also learn about renal clearance, half-life, drug-drug interactions, and reversal strategies using agents like idarucizumab for dabigatran and andexanet alfa for factor Xa inhibitors.

We cover the major clinical uses of DOACs, including nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and VTE prophylaxis, while also comparing their safety and bleeding profiles to warfarin.

The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Warfarin, Its Benefits and side effects Side Effects 1 Views • 1 month ago

Warfarin is a potent medication that is commonly prescribed to patients who are at risk of developing blood clots. Blood clots can lead to serious health complications, such as strokes, heart attacks, and deep vein thrombosis. While warfarin is highly effective in preventing these complications, there are many misconceptions and myths surrounding this medication that can cause confusion and anxiety among patients.
In this video, we will provide you with the ultimate guide to understanding warfarin and its benefits. We will also debunk the five most common myths about warfarin and offer tips and tricks from experts on how to manage your warfarin dosage effectively. Whether you are a patient taking warfarin or a healthcare professional looking to broaden your knowledge, this video will provide you with valuable information and insights that can help you make informed decisions about this medication.
What are Blood Clots?.
Blood clots are gel-like formations that occur when blood components, such as platelets and fibrin, clump together to prevent excessive bleeding. While blood clots play a vital role in healing wounds, they can become problematic when they form inside blood vessels and obstruct blood flow. This can lead to serious complications, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, stroke, and heart attack.

Understanding Warfarin and Its Effects.
Warfarin is an anticoagulant medication that works by inhibiting the production of vitamin K in the liver. Vitamin K is essential for blood clotting, so by reducing the amount of vitamin K in the body, warfarin prevents blood clots from forming. Warfarin is effective in preventing blood clots, but it can also increase the risk of bleeding. It is, therefore, crucial to monitor the dosage of warfarin and maintain it within a safe range.
The dosage of warfarin is determined based on several factors, such as age, weight, gender, and medical history. The dosage is also affected by other medications that the patient is taking, as well as their diet and lifestyle. It is important to work closely with your healthcare provider to determine the correct dosage of warfarin for your specific needs.
Factors Affecting Warfarin Dosage.
Several factors can affect the dosage of warfarin that a patient requires. These include age, weight, gender, medical history, and current medications. For example, older patients may require a lower dosage of warfarin, while younger patients may require a higher dosage. Patients who are overweight may require a higher dosage of warfarin to achieve the same effect as a patient who is of normal weight. Women may require a lower dosage of warfarin than men due to differences in body composition.
Other medications can also affect the dosage of warfarin that a patient requires. Some medications can increase the risk of bleeding when taken with warfarin, while others can reduce the effectiveness of warfarin. Patients should inform their healthcare provider of all medications, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements, that they are taking.
Importance of Regular Testing and Monitoring.
Regular testing and monitoring are essential for patients taking warfarin. The dosage of warfarin can change over time, so it is important to monitor the patient's blood regularly to ensure that the dosage is within a safe range. The test used to monitor the effectiveness of warfarin is called the international normalized ratio (INR). The INR measures the time it takes for blood to clot and is used to determine the correct dosage of warfarin for the patient.
Patients taking warfarin should have their blood tested regularly to ensure that the dosage is within a safe range. The frequency of testing depends on several factors, such as age, weight, medical history, and current medications. Patients should work closely with their healthcare provider to determine the correct testing schedule for their specific needs.
