Need NAC? Here is my recommendation - http://glutenfreesociety.org/UltraNAC

With all the stressors, toxins, and germs floating around in the air these days it’s no wonder our immune systems are on overdrive.

It’s one of the many reasons I recommend adding N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) to your daily routine.

NAC is an essential Amino acid and is a critical building block for the master antioxidant glutathione.

That’s why NAC is so valuable. It’s essential to:

- Your immune system
- Your liver health and detoxification functions
- Can reduce the side effects of OTC painkillers
- May help reduce the symptoms of respiratory issues by loosening the mucus in your air pathways
- Boost brain health by protecting your neurotransmitters.
And so much more.
This powerful amino acid is one of the most effective ways to reduce the symptoms of the cold or flu and can even help shorten the length of time you’re under the weather*

Join us LIVE on Tuesday night at 6PM Central as we take a deep dive into this amazing amino acid!

Can phenobarbital & clonazepam stop Seizures in babies? - Dr. Vykunta Raju K N
Can phenobarbital & clonazepam stop Seizures in babies? - Dr. Vykunta Raju K N Side Effects 2 Views • 1 month ago

Phenobarbital is the most commonly used drug in the earlier days. It is the most common drug available to treat convulsions in children and in older people. Phenobarbital is less commonly used compared to older days especially in children less than 3 months of age. Of course we will use less commonly. We will use only if they are not responding to other newer drugs and there are lot of side effects, then only we consider this Phenobarbitone. Rivotrail can stop seizures in children. The main problem with rivotrail is that it causes lot of side effects like problems in concentration, especially in school going children, they can have decreased IQ in the future also. So if you are using Phenobarbital, you should be careful even though it is a good drug to stop seizure. But the side effects are more compared to the usage of benefits. Rivotrail is one of the drugs used commonly in treating epilepsy in children. This also can stop seizures but rivotrail alone we can’t use because it is just an adjuvant for other types of fits medicine also. The reason for it may stop the seizures temporality. The chance of recurrence after discontinuation of medication is very high and also if the seizures will stop temporarily even if you continue medication also, there is a chance of recurrence. So even though it stops temporarily, it cannot be used as a single medicine. Regarding the children who are suffering from seizures, the parent should be taken care of some of the important facts. They should consider and give medicine as per the doctor has advised. As per the doctor’s advice, they should have the medicines on regular times and regular frequency. They should not miss any medication. Even if they miss, they need to give medications immediately after remembering the next dose and if the child is getting medications, they should not discontinue suddenly or without advice from the doctor. They should not stop medication. Only if you stop medication, you should stop slowly after decreasing the dosage and if they are decreasing the dosage and if they are getting medications with seizures, they can have some behavioral problems in children especially drowsiness and sleepiness in the school or behavioral problems like aggressiveness and hyperactivity and this should be monitored with children and this should be reported to parents. Sometimes rarely problems with the kidney and the liver, they should be reported to the doctor. Regarding other precautions, better to avoid swimming in those children having epilepsy because during the episodes and during swimming if the child gets seizures, the chance of drowning is more. So these are some of the precautions parents should be aware when children are suffering from epilepsy.

Reyvow: Uses, Side Effects + When It Would Be A Good Option (And When It Wouldn't)
Reyvow: Uses, Side Effects + When It Would Be A Good Option (And When It Wouldn't) Side Effects 2 Views • 1 month ago

What Is Reyvow Used For?

It's a newer (at the time of this video) medication you take by mouth to treat acute migraine attacks.

How Does It Work In Your Body?

Is stimulates a receptor in your body that helps 'calm' the trigeminal system - which is a part of your brain.

It's main advantage is that it really focuses on lowering the pain associated with migraine without causing vasoconstriction ... which is what the triptans do.

Another unique thing about Reyvow is that it acts not just peripherally (like all the other acute migraine medications we have) - but also centrally.

How Is It Dosed?

It's availabe as a 50, 100, or 200 mg dose. But unlike other acute migraine meds you can only take 1 dose in 24 hours.

And the safety of treating more than 4 migraine attacks in a month has not been established.

Is It A Triptan?

The classic class of drugs used to treat migraine attacks have been around since the 1990's and are called the 'triptans'.

But triptans act in a different way than Reyvow.

Side Effects of Reyvow?

Reyvow doesn't have a lot of side effects but the one it can cause is dizziness in up to 9-17% of users.

But the dizziness can be severe enough that you CANNOT USE REYVOW IF YOU NEED TO DRIVE A CAR OF MACHINERY WITHIN 8 HOURS OF TAKING IT!

How Fast Does It Work?

You can start to notice improvement of your migraine within 30-60 minutes of taking Reyvow.

3 Groups of People Reyvow May Be A Good Option For

1) If PAIN is your biggest complaint
2) Poor results with triptans
3) Can't use triptans (have heart or stroke concerns)

**If you have worries about paying for Reyvow check out their coupon and financial assistance site at

10 Important Tips for Taking Synthroid: Dosing, Side Effects, T3 Medications & More
10 Important Tips for Taking Synthroid: Dosing, Side Effects, T3 Medications & More Side Effects 2 Views • 1 month ago

10 important tips for taking Synthroid. This list includes how to dose Synthroid, the side effects of Synthroid, how Synthroid compares to T3 thyroid hormone, and more!

Today is all about Synthroid. If you take this medication then you'll want to learn more about these 10 tips and tricks that you can use to help feel better.

Synthroid is one of the most common thyroid medications used to treat hypothyroidism but it's not without problems.

These tips are designed to help you find your optimal dose, help you understand if you are absorbing Synthroid, help you figure out if you need a new medication and more.

10 Tips to know when taking Synthroid:

#1. Peripheral T4 to T3 conversion
First off, you need to understand that Synthroid contains the inactive thyroid hormone T4. This means that in order for thyroid hormone to be utilized in your body it must first be activated through peripheral thyroid conversion. Several factors including genetics, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies and so on can impact this process. There are situations in which you may be taking enough Synthroid but your body is not able to activate it.

#2. Absorption of Synthroid
In order for your body to use Synthroid, it must also be absorbed in your intestinal tract! Several medications, supplements, and even foods can impact how much you absorb. Do your best to take Synthroid away from supplements such as Calcium and Iron which can limit absorption.

#3. Are supplements helping or hurting you?
Some supplements can decrease absorption but there are others that can help. The use of Selenium and Zinc can help your body activate Synthroid after it is absorbed.

#4. The time of day that you take Synthroid
Synthroid can be safely taken in the morning but it can also be taken at night. Studies have shown that patients who take it in the evening actually have higher free T4 and free T3!

#5. Levothyroxine vs Synthroid: Are they the same?
Levothyroxine and Synthroid both contain the same active ingredient but they are not considered bio-equivalents.

#6. Tirosint

#7. Dosage

#8. Switching to NDT or T3 medication

#9. The full thyroid lab panel

These tests will give you an idea as to how your body is utilizing Synthroid.

#10. Synthroid side effects
Lastly, make sure that you watch our for the side effects of Synthroid which include:
- Weight gain
- Hair loss
- Heart palpitations
- Rashes
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- Hot flashes
- Changes in menstrual cycle

Any of these side effects may indicate you need to switch medications!
