In this brief video Dr Covington discusses tirzepatide, brand name, Zepbound along with how the medication works, the most common side effects, comparison to similar drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro and how to administer the once weekly injection.

Zepbound is the newest FDA approved weight loss medication, approved in November 2023 for long term weight management for BMIs over 27 with weight related ailments or BMI over 30.

In clinical trials, adults who were titrated up to the highest dose (15 mg weekly injection) lost on average 50 lbs.

Nitrofurantoin is a nitrofuran that acts as an antibacterial agent that is used for treating urinary tract infections.

In this month’s skin cancer update video, Professor Giuseppe Argenziano talks about the role of Imiquimod in the treatment of primary melanoma. Using real patient case examples, Giuseppe describes the context in which Imiquimod can be utilised and the type of results physicians can expect.

He highlights that eight out of 10 patients using Imiquimod will see complete eradication of their primary lesion, and describes the recommended dose and usage for the treatment.
