Unisom vs Benadryl Review: Differences & Similarities (What's Better?)
Unisom vs Benadryl Review: Differences & Similarities (What's Better?) Side Effects 1 Views • 2 months ago

Unisom SleepTabs: https://amzn.to/2TigyGc
Benadryl UltraTabs: https://amzn.to/2IpEl13

Read our full comparison of the two including side effects, pros, cons, FAQ, etc here:
https://sleepinglucid.com/unis....om-vs-benadryl-diffe

FDA considers Unisom’s active ingredient doxylamine succinate to be safe for pregnant women. It's even sometimes recommended to women experiencing morning sickness symptoms.

Doxylamine succinate is a first-generation antihistamine. That's why it has a central effect on our bodies. This is also the reason why it is used as a sedative agent in Unisom.

Benadryl also has a first-generation antihistamine for its active ingredient diphenhydramine. This drug is mostly used to treat allergies but since it has a strong sedative action, people use it to help with insomnia too. Its relaxing effect is useful in preventing and treating motion sickness.

Effectivity and dosage: adults and teens above 12 years can take one Unisom SleepTabs 30 minutes before their bedtime. However, many users recommend that you start with a smaller dosage and slowly increase it until you find the dosage that fits you.

Also, remember that it's only meant for occasional sleeplessness. You shouldn’t take it for more than 14 days. Otherwise, your body will get accustomed to getting help in falling asleep, making it harder for you to sleep. The effects of doxylamine can last up to 10 or 12 hours. Make sure to only take it when you have ample time to sleep.

ZzzQuil vs Benadryl: https://sleepinglucid.com/zzzq....uil-vs-benadryl-same
ZzzQuil vs NyQuil: https://sleepinglucid.com/zzzq....uil-vs-nyquil-differ

You can take up to 50 mg of diphenhydramine to help you to fall sleep. That means you can only take 2 Benadryl UltraTabs max. Only adults and children older than 12 should take Benadryl as a sleep aid. You can expect Benadryl to start to kick in about half an hour after taking it. After that, you’ll be able to feel its effects for 4-6 hours. Just like Unisom, only take Benadryl as a sleep medication occasionally.

Take note of the following precautions when taking Unisom:
Though doxylamine is regarded as safe for pregnant women, the drug can pass through breast milk. It's not recommended that lactating mothers take this sleep aid.
Kids under 12 should not take Unisom.
It's non-habit forming but can cause dependence if taken for a long time

If you’re planning to take Benadryl, here are some things that you need to keep in mind:
Never do anything that requires concentration after taking Benadryl. This includes driving and operating machinery.
Do not take tranquilizers or consume alcohol if you’ve taken this sleep aid.
If you have a history of conditions such as glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, and asthma, check with your doctor first before taking Benadryl. The same goes if you’re currently taking medication or supplements.

In Conclusion, Unisom and Benadryl are both fast-acting, affordable and very effective sleep aids that can be bought without a prescription.

Their key difference lies in their half-life which is longer for Unisom and that Benadryl is also an allergy medicine.

So, if you’re not sick and just want to get some rest, I suggest trying out the Unisom first.

Effexor Withdrawal, Tapering Help, Side Effects and Alternatives | Alternative to Meds.
Effexor Withdrawal, Tapering Help, Side Effects and Alternatives | Alternative to Meds. Side Effects 1 Views • 2 months ago

This Q&A session with the Founder of Alternative to Meds Center, Lyle Murphy, Top questions about Effexor Withdrawal are covered.
Please Like, Share, And Subscribe.

1. What is Effexor?
Effexor is an SNRI, or, serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Effexor has one of the shortest half-lives of all the medications in the Antidepressant drug class. It became widely used because of its ability to deliver effects rapidly.

2. What is Effexor used for?
"Effexor is used as a mood elevator. It is used for people who are suffering from depression, suffering from being morose....to help kind of give them a lift." - Lyle Murphy

The problem with Effexor is it's not sustainable. It likely is not any more sustainable than lifting someone's spirits with Methamphetamines. Effexor really can take a toll on someone's nervous system.

3. What do I need to know about Effexor Withdrawal?
Effexor is actively restricting the re-uptake of Serotonin or Norepinephrine. The Serotonin aspect of this medication is meant to assist with impulse control, symptoms like suicidal ideations. The Norepinephrine aspect acts more like a stimulant, to assist with focus, and elevating an individual's temperament.

"This drug is not actively making Serotonin, it's not making Norepinephrine. On some level, it's spending it" - Lyle Murphy

Warning: Due to the short half-life of Effexor, medication withdrawal symptoms may come on faster. For more information on Effexor Withdrawal Symptoms and Side-Effects please visit:
https://www.alternativetomeds.....com/antidepressants/

4. How can I support my Effexor withdrawal naturally?
There are ways to support it naturally, and there are ways to support it using bridge medications. Another thing people use to help the Effexor Withdrawal process is titration compounding.

To view more about Effexor Alternatives visit:
https://www.alternativetomeds.....com/blog/effexor-alt

"If you can stop the Serotonin plunge, and just be dealing with the Norepinephrine plunge, you can change the withdrawal specifications of this medication from being a dual-pronged thing to being more singular at least." - Lyle Murphy

5. What types of people might not tolerate Effexor well?

Anyone that has anxiety, mania, psychosis...anyone that tends to be a bit high strung, this medication could make them more than high-strung, and leave them completely in panic.

"The short term gains [ of Effexor ] are not often not worth the long term consequences" - Lyle Murphy

6. What are some of the side effects of Effexor?
Excitability, being over-revved, not being able to sleep, abject panic...

Learn how to make healthcare awesome again at www.voyagedpc.com.

Stop using triple antibiotic ointment, here's why. Triple antibiotic ointment is made up of three parts bacitracin, neomycin and polymyxin. Many people handle these three ingredients just fine, however there are some people who have an allergic reaction to some of the elements.

Bacitracin is the most important of the three elements and it does not typically cause allergic reactions in anyone. It is commonly used in surgeries in place of triple antibiotic ointment.

Esomeprazole: The Miracle Drug for Heartburn Relief and More
Esomeprazole: The Miracle Drug for Heartburn Relief and More Side Effects 1 Views • 2 months ago

Do you suffer from heartburn or acid reflux? It's a common problem that can be incredibly frustrating to deal with. Luckily, there's a miracle drug that can provide relief and improve your quality of life. Esomeprazole is a medication that's often prescribed for heartburn, but it can do so much more than that. This powerful drug can help with a variety of gastrointestinal issues, including ulcers, gastritis, and even Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Not only does it provide quick and effective relief, but it also helps to prevent future episodes of heartburn and related issues. If you're tired of dealing with the discomfort and pain of heartburn, esomeprazole may be the solution you've been searching for. In this video, we'll explore the benefits of esomeprazole and how it can help you live a happier, healthier life.
How Esomeprazole works.
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It does this by blocking the enzyme responsible for producing acid, known as the proton pump. This leads to a decrease in the amount of acid in the stomach, which can help to reduce the symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux.
One of the unique features of esomeprazole is that it's what's known as an S-isomer. This means that it's a more effective version of omeprazole, which is another commonly prescribed PPI. Esomeprazole is also more stable than omeprazole, which means it can stay in the system longer and provide more consistent relief.
Esomeprazole is available in both prescription and over-the-counter forms. The prescription-strength version is typically used for more severe cases of heartburn and related issues, while the over-the-counter version is used for milder cases.
Benefits of using Esomeprazole.
One of the main benefits of using esomeprazole is that it provides quick and effective relief for heartburn and related issues. It can start working within an hour of taking it, and the effects can last for up to 24 hours. This makes it a convenient and reliable option for those who suffer from frequent heartburn.
In addition to its quick relief, esomeprazole can also help to prevent future episodes of heartburn and related issues. By reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, it can help to heal any damage that may have been caused by acid reflux. This can help to prevent future episodes and improve overall digestive health.
Another benefit of esomeprazole is that it's generally well-tolerated by most people. It's considered to be a safe and effective treatment for heartburn and related issues, and it's been used for many years with great success.
Esomeprazole vs. other heartburn medications.
While there are several different types of medications available for heartburn and acid reflux, esomeprazole is considered to be one of the most effective. It's been shown to be more effective than other PPIs, such as omeprazole and lansoprazole, and it's also been shown to provide longer-lasting relief.
In addition to its effectiveness, esomeprazole is also considered to be safer than some other medications. For example, H2 blockers, such as ranitidine and famotidine, can cause side effects such as headaches, dizziness, and diarrhea. These medications also don't provide as much long-term relief as esomeprazole.
Overall, esomeprazole is a reliable and effective option for those who suffer from heartburn and related issues. It's considered to be one of the best options available, and it's been used successfully by many people for many years.
Side effects and precautions of Esomeprazole.
While esomeprazole is generally well-tolerated by most people, there are some potential side effects to be aware of. These can include headache, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, more serious side effects can occur, such as liver problems and allergic reactions.
It's important to talk to your doctor before taking esomeprazole, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking any other medications. Your doctor can help you determine if esomeprazole is the right choice for you and can provide guidance on the appropriate dosage and administration.
It's also important to follow the recommended dosage and administration instructions carefully.
