Dr Nguyen, a community-based medical oncologist, discusses the benefits of BRUKINSA for his patients with B-cell malignancies, including those with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (WM).
BRUKINSA is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with:
• Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL)
• Waldenström's macroglobulinemia (WM)
• Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have received at least one prior therapy
• Relapsed or refractory marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) who have received at least one anti-CD20-based regimen
• Relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma (FL), in combination with obinutuzumab, after two or more lines of systemic therapy
The MCL, MZL and FL indications are approved under accelerated approval based on overall response rate and durability of response. Continued approval for these indications may be contingent upon verification and description of clinical benefit in confirmatory trials.
Serious adverse reactions, including fatal events, have occurred with BRUKINSA, including hemorrhage, infections, cytopenias, second primary malignancies, cardiac arrhythmias, and embryo-fetal toxicity. In the pooled safety population (N=1729), the most common adverse reactions (≥30%), including laboratory abnormalities, in patients who received BRUKINSA were neutrophil count decreased (51%), platelet count decreased (41%), upper respiratory tract infection (38%), hemorrhage (32%), and musculoskeletal pain (31%).

Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitors such as ibrutinib are very effective for treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). Still, they must be taken continuously, and some patients can have trouble tolerating their side effects. Therefore, second-generation BTK inhibitors such as acalabrutinib and zanubrutinib have been designed with the goal of reducing side effects. Therefore, if a patient has a hard time tolerating the side effects of ibrutinib, acalabrutinib or zanubrutinib might be a good treatment option to continue the benefits of BTK inhibition treatment for CLL.
Dr. Jeff Sharman, a hematologist/oncologist at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute in Eugene, OR, discussed the results of a study looking at zanubrutinib and its use in patients who could not tolerate previous BTK inhibitors. These results were presented at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) annual meeting in 2021.

13:50 Learn more about the best diet for seizures!
Today I want to share some important information for those of you who experience seizures.
Common triggers of seizures:
• Fever
• Head injury
• Brain infection
• Choking
• Alcohol
• Drug withdrawal
• Extremely low blood sugar
• Drugs
• Toxins
• Stress
• High blood pressure
Data shows that keto is effective in eliminating seizures by a factor of 50 to 70 percent. But it's important to be on the healthy version of the ketogenic diet. The keto diet for epilepsy also includes more fat than protein.
Ketones are a byproduct of fat. Fat and ketones are the primary fuel source that our bodies should run on—not glucose. It's also the preferred fuel source of the brain.
Top potential benefits of ketones for seizures:
• They have anticonvulsant properties
• They stabilize the excitability of the neurons
• They modulate neurotransmitters
• They support the brain, including the hippocampus
• They increase the hippocampus's mitochondrial biogenesis
• They protect the brain and neurons against oxidative stress
• They increase the ATP in the neurons to allow them to function better
In my opinion, one of the best natural alternative options for seizures is to get on the Healthy Keto® diet.
Natural ways to potentially help prevent seizures:
1. Get on the Healthy Keto diet
2. Start intermittent fasting
3. Take ketones
4. Consume foods higher in fat with moderate protein
5. Consume cod liver oil
6. Consume nutritional yeast
7. Exercise

In this video, I share the beginning of my journey with Briviact (brivaracetam). A recent EEG revealed intermittent theta activity in my left frontal lobe, and blood tests showed a low positive for antibodies.
Starting Briviact brought noticeable improvements in my mood. However, during the first week, I experienced significant drowsiness, which is a common side effect (and can affect 1 in 10 people).

Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) and Kesimpta (ofatumumab) are two drugs for multiple sclerosis which both work on b-cells. In this video, I explain differences between the two drugs and results from clinical trials. Which drug has fewer drug-reactions? Which has a lower rate of serious infections? Is Kesimpta more optimally dosed?

Welcome to MS Drug Showdown: Which Medications are the Best? In this video, I'll be ranking and comparing the disease modifying therapies for multiple sclerosis.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. It can cause a range of symptoms, including muscle weakness, difficulty with balance and coordination, and problems with vision. There is currently no cure for MS, but there are several medications that can help suppress inflammatory activity and slow disease progression.
In this video, I'll share my personal opinions ranking the MS medications based on efficacy to treat the disease. Whether you're living with multiple sclerosis or simply looking for more information on the available treatment options, this video is a must-watch. Stay tuned to see which medications come out on top in our MS drug showdown.

For those with milder symptoms, we will highlight the use of short-acting bronchodilators that provide quick relief when needed. Additionally, we will cover the latest developments in inhaler technology, including triple therapy inhalers that combine multiple medications in one device, as well as new rescue inhalers that offer both bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory effects.
Throughout this discussion, we will also touch on important factors to consider when choosing the right inhaler, such as symptom control, ease of use, patient preferences, and cost.
