13:50 Learn more about the best diet for seizures!

Today I want to share some important information for those of you who experience seizures.

Common triggers of seizures:
• Fever
• Head injury
• Brain infection
• Choking
• Alcohol
• Drug withdrawal
• Extremely low blood sugar
• Drugs
• Toxins
• Stress
• High blood pressure

Data shows that keto is effective in eliminating seizures by a factor of 50 to 70 percent. But it's important to be on the healthy version of the ketogenic diet. The keto diet for epilepsy also includes more fat than protein.

Ketones are a byproduct of fat. Fat and ketones are the primary fuel source that our bodies should run on—not glucose. It's also the preferred fuel source of the brain.

Top potential benefits of ketones for seizures:
• They have anticonvulsant properties
• They stabilize the excitability of the neurons
• They modulate neurotransmitters
• They support the brain, including the hippocampus
• They increase the hippocampus's mitochondrial biogenesis
• They protect the brain and neurons against oxidative stress
• They increase the ATP in the neurons to allow them to function better

In my opinion, one of the best natural alternative options for seizures is to get on the Healthy Keto® diet.

Natural ways to potentially help prevent seizures:
1. Get on the Healthy Keto diet
2. Start intermittent fasting
3. Take ketones
4. Consume foods higher in fat with moderate protein
5. Consume cod liver oil
6. Consume nutritional yeast
7. Exercise

Montelukast Tablets: Uses, Dosage, Mechanism, Side Effects, and Essential Advice
Montelukast Tablets: Uses, Dosage, Mechanism, Side Effects, and Essential Advice Side Effects 2 Views • 5 months ago

Welcome to MediInsights, where we unlock the wonders of wellness! In this video, we delve into the comprehensive details about Montelukast tablets. Montelukast is a widely prescribed medication for managing asthma and allergic rhinitis. Join us as we explore its uses, dosage guidelines, mechanism of action, potential side effects, and important advice for optimal use.

Montelukast Tablets: Uses
Montelukast tablets are primarily used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma in adults and children aged 12 months and older. They are also effective in preventing exercise-induced bronchoconstriction and alleviating symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients aged 2 years and older, and perennial allergic rhinitis in patients aged 6 months and older.

Montelukast Tablets: Dosage

For adults and adolescents (15 years and older) with asthma or allergic rhinitis: 10 mg once daily in the evening.
For children (6-14 years) with asthma or allergic rhinitis: 5 mg chewable tablet once daily in the evening.
For younger children (2-5 years) with asthma or allergic rhinitis: 4 mg chewable tablet or granules once daily in the evening.
For infants (6-23 months) with perennial allergic rhinitis: 4 mg granules once daily in the evening.
Montelukast Tablets: Mechanism of Action
Montelukast works by blocking leukotriene D4 from binding to its receptors on cells in the lungs and bronchial tubes. Leukotrienes are involved in the inflammatory process, leading to bronchoconstriction, mucus production, and inflammation. By inhibiting this action, Montelukast reduces inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and mucus production, helping to control asthma symptoms and allergic reactions.

Montelukast Tablets: Side Effects
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, cough, dental pain, and upper respiratory infections. Serious side effects, though rare, can include mood changes, hallucinations, depression, suicidal thoughts, and liver problems. It's crucial to monitor any side effects and consult with your healthcare provider if they persist or worsen.

Important Advice for Using Montelukast Tablets

Take Montelukast regularly, even when symptom-free.
Do not use Montelukast to treat acute asthma attacks; use a rescue inhaler instead.
Inform your doctor about any existing medical conditions, especially mental health issues or liver problems.
Watch for changes in mood or behavior, and report any serious side effects to your healthcare provider immediately.
Store tablets at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
We hope this video helps you understand the essential aspects of Montelukast tablets. Remember to always consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new medication. Risk of B-Cell Depleters Long-Term (Ocrevus, Rituximab, Kesimpta, Briumvi)
Risk of B-Cell Depleters Long-Term (Ocrevus, Rituximab, Kesimpta, Briumvi) Side Effects 5 Views • 5 months ago

Is it safe to take B-cell depleting medications for multiple sclerosis such as Ocrevus, Rituximab, Kesimpta, and Briumvi continuously for many years? In this video, I explain the immune system can become weaker over time with continuous use, and low immunoglobin (antibody) levels can result in serious infections.

Notes:

Is rituximab 500mg just as good as rituximab 1000mg for MS? This deescalation study suggests that decreasing the dose to 500mg does not affect clinical, MRI, or serum NfL results over a 12 month period and may be safer.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32840408/

Do you really need Ocrevus every 6 months? This study in Italy during the pandemic found that "extended interval dosing" was linked to more MRI activity but not disability progression or NEDA-3. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36036858/

What happens if you delay Ocrevus due to fear of covid? Nothing! This retrospective study suggests that extended interval dosing compared to standard dosing did not significantly change relapses, disability progression, MRI activity. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34261812/

An extended dosing interval for rituximab for patients with stable MS during the COVID-19 pandemic may be associated with a low risk of disease activity. https://nn.neurology.org/content/7/5/e825?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=organic
