Your medication Augmentin

Amoxicillin / potassium clavulanate is also known by the brand names: Augmentin, Augmentin ES-600, and Augmentin XR.

Augmentin comes in oral suspensions, tablets, chewable tablets, and extended release tablets.

Augmentin is most commonly used for bacterial infections. No matter you’re your doctor has your taking it for, Augmentin is usually taken by mouth with food twice a day. If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your normal dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.

Some common side effects with Augmentin include diarrhea and upset stomach.
Some less common side effects with Augmentin include a diaper rash in small children, skin rash, itching, a vaginal yeast infection, and pain or discomfort in the stomach.

While taking Augmentin, remember it is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist if:
• You have signs of an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, tightness of the chest, etc.)
• You have an allergy to any penicillin, amoxicillin, clavulanate potassium or any other part of this drug.
• You have mononucleosis
• You are taking probenecid
• You start taking new medications, vitamins or supplements

Augmentin liquid needs to be stored in the refrigerator and shaken well before each dose is given using the measuring device received from the pharmacist or doctor. Any liquid remaining after 10 days needs to be thrown away. All other forms of Augmentin are kept at room temperature, in a dry place.
It is important to take this medication until full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear.

Anavar - Wonder Steroid? - Doctor’s Analysis of Side Effects & Properties Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

This video is a physician’s analysis of Anavar aka Oxandrolone, a steroid often used by women, and its side effects and properties. Anavar was an early oral steroid, and considered a wonder steroid because it was designed to be anabolic and not androgenic, while avoiding estrogenic side effects. But is it really? Clinically, we still see androgenic side effects, hypogonadism, and cardiovascular side effects. Women who use anavar have their own set of side effects. If you are considering using Anavar or have used it, please watch this video to learn the risks!

New Study Confirms Statins CAUSE These Side Effects
New Study Confirms Statins CAUSE These Side Effects Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

A new study confirms a side effect link between statin use and tendon problems like tendonitis and tendinopathies. The risk of developing tendon issues is higher in the initial 3 months of statin use, but it decreases as cumulative dosage increases. Atorvastatin and simvastatin have the highest rates of tendinopathy, while rosuvastatin has higher rates of certain tendinopathies but not others.

Poor metabolic health also raises the risk of tendon problems, irrespective of statin use. To improve metabolic health, focus on an anti-inflammatory diet with fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, and engage in both aerobic and strength training exercises. Decisions about statin use should be based on individual risk factors and medical history, and it's essential to consult with a healthcare provider.

Statin medications (ex. atorvastatin, rosuvastatin, simvastatin) are used to lower/reduce cholesterol levels. However, statin medications can cause a variety of mild and/or severe side effects. Certain patient characteristics can increase the risk of side effects of statins including patient gender and age. Additionally, certain foods and beverages can increase the risk of statin side effects, and certain other medications can worsen and increase the risk of side effects as well.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC to friends) is widely available as a supplement and is FDA approved to treat poisoning from acetaminophen (Tylenol.) It boosts the level of a tri-peptide, glutathione, inside of brain cells, and increases the amount of glutamate available in the synaptic space.

NAC has generated intense interest in the mental health field, because in addition to increasing glutamate, and (probably indirectly) dopamine and serotonin, it also has potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative damage properties. Multiple studies support that it can be helpful with OCD, depression, and schizophrenia. A single study suggests that it may also benefit those with ADHD.

High doses of oral forms of NAC can cause nausea and other gastrointestinal effects, but it is generally well tolerated at dosages that might help with ADHD.

In this video, we’re going to cover Adderall. What does Adderall do, and are there Adderall alternatives?

What is Adderall?
Adderall is a central nervous system stimulant used for ADHD and narcolepsy.

So, is Adderall bad for you? Well, here are some Adderall side effects:

• Insomnia
• Dry mouth
• Loss of appetite
• High/low blood pressure
• Raynauds
• Increased heart rate
• Erectile dysfunction
• Abdominal pain
• Constipation
• Nose bleeds
• Tics
• Loss of bladder control

High doses of Adderall can even put you in a coma or cause death.

Your brain is highly sensitive to nutrition and the fuel you put in it. The number one most dangerous vitamin deficiency for the brain is low vitamin B1. A vitamin B1 deficiency can be caused by high carbohydrate diets.

Here are some natural alternatives that I think could greatly help you:

1. Start taking B1 in the form of nutritional yeast and drop your carbs
2. Get more DHA from sources like shellfish and fish
3. Get more zinc from shellfish, supplements, seaweed, or sea kelp
4. Intermittent fasting
5. Take MCT oil
6. Lion’s mane (mushroom)
*Vitamin D and K2 are also very important for mental health

Vyvanse vs Adderall
Vyvanse vs Adderall Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

Vyvanse vs. Adderall. Top NYC Psychiatrist Dr Edward Fruitman, M.D. from Trifecta Health ( https://trifectahealthnyc.com) shares his opinion on this matter. Both amphetamine-based stimulants are used for ADD/ADHD in order to improve attention and concentration for those affected by the disorder. The difference, however, comes from how they are formulated and how they are taken.

Adderall, is more flexible as it can be taken multiple times during the day, depending on the individual's needs. Vyvanse, on the other hand, is commonly taken once a day. Furthermore, adderall has an immediate release; which can produce a "peak effect" which can be undesirable for those who do not want to feel "over-stimulated". Whereas, Vyvanse will not produce this "peak effect" as it its release is extended and produces consistent and balanced stimulation throughout the entire day. Furthermore, Vyvanse cannot be broken up or snorted; therefore one must swallow it whole which cuts down on the risk of over-use or abuse.

Benzodiazepine Dependence and Withdrawal - How To Avoid This
Benzodiazepine Dependence and Withdrawal - How To Avoid This Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

Benzodiazepine or benzos for short, is the class of drug that works at the GABA receptors in your brain to produce a relaxing or sedative effect. We use benzodiazepines to treat short-term anxiety and sleep. Some doctors will use them as a muscle relaxer – Valium is pretty typical for this. They can also be used to stop a seizure. You may get valium or Ativan prior to a procedure like a colonoscopy.

The common benzodiazepines or benzos for short that we use for anxiety are Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax and Valium.

Benzodiazepines are habit forming and it’s easy to become addicted to them. Here’s why. Benzos cause a tolerance effect. This means if you take them regularly like daily or several times a week, overtime the effect can wear off and you;ll need to take more to get the same effect. So now instead of a half pill or one pill working, you notice you need two pills.

This is a medication tolerance effect. It can happen to anyone and is not the same as addiction. If this happens to you, it doesn’t mean you’ve been misusing the medication or have an addition. Addiction involves developing a psychological dependence on it where you need to take it.

Daily, long term use is associated with cognitive changes like not being as mentally sharp. It can create balance problems in some people where you just aren’t quite solid on your feet. This can be a big problem with elderly people by increasing their risk of falls.

In this video I discuss the details of what dependence looks like versus addiction. I also discuss how to avoid developing a dependence.
