2025 SUPPLEMENT GUIDE (Which Supplements | What Age)

When it comes to deciding which supplements to take and at what age to start taking them, I felt there was a need for an official supplement checklist. Something that could be used as a guide for years to come that would help you decide which workout supplements and vitamins were going to be helpful to you, specific to your goals and your age. Here we are going to cover what Amazon has determined are the top 14 categories of supplements according to the popularity of them based on those people using them.

We start the list off where many people start off their day, with a multi-vitamin. This is something that I look at as an insurance policy for covering the broad gaps in your not so perfect nutrition plan is creating right now. The issue with many multi-vitamins is that they are almost too broad, including many times vitamins and minerals that conflict with the absorption of one another in the same pill. That said, they are remarkably safe and are popular amongst all of the age groups covered in this video (and even those younger than discussed).

Next up we have specialty vitamins. This is best determined by identifying specific deficiencies via either a blood panel or obvious signs and symptoms, and then addressing them with individual vitamins and micronutrients. This includes things like vitamin D, iron, potassium, vitamin C, etc. There are many causes of nutrient deficiency, but the most important thing is that you don’t ignore yours if they are present.

Next we have to talk about protein powder. This is the most popular workout supplement on the market by far, for good reason. We can all agree that having enough protein in our diets is critical to building the most amount of muscle possible from our workouts. I actually don’t view protein supplements as supplements, but rather as an alternate source of protein to chicken, beef or fish. In fact, it is most of the time the most convenient way for us to make sure we’re hitting our daily protein requirements of around 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. The key here is choosing a high quality formula. ATHLEAN-Rx Pro-30G is at the top of the heap when it comes to this. It’s made from only the highest quality sources of protein and has an industry leading 30 grams of protein in every serving. You can find it at the link above.

Continuing on, we hit a run of three closely related supplements in purpose that are very different from each other in function and safety. This includes TRT, SARMS and Testosterone Boosters. First of all, the first two are so readily available and used these days that they have become almost confused by many, especially the younger population, that they act as if they are on a par with protein. These are not. They are medically prescribed substances and in the case of SARMS, not even medically approved for healthy use.

Back to the more traditional supplements we discuss the use of melatonin. This natural sleep aid is safe for all ages but must be used in proper dosages and is therefore best that you get the advice of your physician. That said, the increased use of electronics and devices late at night create sleep disturbances due to the over exposure to blue light. Rather than turn to a supplement to help you sleep better you’d be better off following the advice of Dr. Andrew Huberman who suggests that getting early sunlight exposure every morning can help to restore normal circadian rhythms and more restful sleep.

Turning back to the workout supplements we have to address creatine. Notice I didn’t point out the specific form of creatine since there are so many. Whether you take creatine monohydrate, creatine hcl or even buffered creatine, they all work the same and have the same end result - improved force and power generation in every workout, faster replenishment of ATP, increased intramuscular hydration and increased muscle size. The determining factor between taking one form or another has to do with the potential for bloating or gut disturbance that some experience with monohydrate. If that is you, you should look into taking creatine HCL which has a higher absorbability and can be taken in lower dosages (2-3 grams vs 5 grams for monohydrate).

There are many more supplements covered here so you'll want to watch the whole video. Remember to subscribe and turn on your notifications!

Pregabalin is a prescription drug used to treat epilepsy, chronic pain and anxiety.

(Subscribe:
https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

It's regarded by the authorities as an effective treatment, but it can also cause dependency, addiction, and puts people at higher risk of overdosing on other substances - the reasons why it became more tightly regulated in 2019.

Yet figures obtained by Channel 4 News show that, since then, the number of patients being prescribed Pregabalin has risen significantly in England, and so too has the number of fatalities it's linked to.

Espironolactona ¿Cuándo y cómo debemos tomarla? Tu Farmacéutico Informa
Espironolactona ¿Cuándo y cómo debemos tomarla? Tu Farmacéutico Informa Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

Dystonia, Akathisia, Parkinsonism, and Tardive Dyskinesia - Antipsychotics Side Effects
Dystonia, Akathisia, Parkinsonism, and Tardive Dyskinesia - Antipsychotics Side Effects Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions that cause repetitive or twisting movements and abnormal postures. These muscle contractions can be sustained or intermittent and may result in painful, awkward, or distorted movements. The condition can affect any part of the body and can range from mild to severe.

Dystonia is caused by a dysfunction in the brain's basal ganglia, which is responsible for coordinating muscle contractions. It can be classified into several types based on the affected body part or the underlying cause. Some common types of dystonia include:

1. Generalized Dystonia: This type affects multiple body parts and can lead to twisting and contorting movements that involve the limbs, trunk, and sometimes the neck and face.

2. Focal Dystonia: This type is confined to a specific body part. Examples include cervical dystonia (affecting the neck muscles, also known as spasmodic torticollis), blepharospasm (involving the eyelids), and writer's cramp (affecting the hand and forearm muscles).

3. Segmental Dystonia: In this type, adjacent body parts are affected. For instance, cranial-cervical dystonia involves the head and neck.

4. Hemidystonia: Only one side of the body is affected in this type, leading to abnormal movements and postures on that side.

5. Dystonia-plus Syndromes: These are conditions where dystonia is a prominent feature along with other neurological symptoms. Examples include Dopa-Responsive Dystonia (DRD) and Paroxysmal Nonkinesigenic Dyskinesia (PNKD).

6. Secondary Dystonia: Dystonia can also be caused by underlying factors such as brain injury, certain medications, infections, or other neurological conditions. This is known as secondary dystonia.

The exact cause of primary dystonia (dystonia without an underlying cause) is often unknown. However, genetic factors are believed to play a role in its development. Certain gene mutations have been associated with various forms of primary dystonia.

While there is no cure for dystonia, treatment options are available to manage its symptoms and improve the quality of life for individuals affected by the condition. Treatment approaches may include:

- Botulinum Toxin Injections: Botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, is injected into specific muscles to temporarily paralyze them and reduce abnormal movements.
- Oral Medications: Medications like anticholinergics, muscle relaxants, and dopamine-modulating drugs can help manage symptoms in some cases.
- Physical Therapy: Exercises and stretching routines can help improve muscle flexibility and coordination.
- Surgery: In severe cases where other treatments are ineffective, surgical procedures like deep brain stimulation (DBS) may be considered. DBS involves implanting electrodes into specific areas of the brain to modulate abnormal brain activity.

If you suspect you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms of dystonia, it's important to consult a medical professional, ideally a neurologist, for a proper diagnosis and treatment recommendations tailored to the individual's needs.

Akathisia is a medication side effect. Antipsychotic medications are the most common cause of akathisia. However, akathisia can be caused by antidepressant medications, or by some types of anti-nausea/anti-vomiting medications.

Although akathisia is a relatively common side effect, it's also one that can be avoided. There are many treatments for akathisia.

What is Akathisia?
What is Akathisia? Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

http://missd.co/ ► Akathisia is a drug-induced disorder that can cause severe inner and outer restlessness, suicidal thoughts, violent behaviors, and/or suicide. Many different types of drug classes can cause akathisia including prescription drugs commonly marketed for depression--selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, (SSRIs). Other types of drugs that can cause akathisia include, but are not limited to, drugs prescribed for high blood pressure, acne, asthma, malaria, and infections (antibiotics).

Please see and share this animated educational video that addresses:

What can you do if you or a loved one experiences this life-threatening disorder?

Nobody is immune to akathisia. But by increasing awareness of akathisia, sufferers can get help before it's too late. Together, we can save lives.

About MISSD

(The Medication-Induced Suicide Prevention and Education Foundation in Memory of Stewart Dolin) is a unique non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the memory of Stewart and other victims of akathisia by raising awareness and educating the public about the dangers of akathisia. MISSD aims to ensure that people suffering from akathisia's symptoms are accurately diagnosed so that needless deaths are prevented. A website, the creation of educational materials, and support of conferences such as Selling Sickness, will help to raise awareness and knowledge of akathisia and medication-induced suicides. Again, we feel it's important to note that we are not anti-drug, and recognize that prescription drugs can be positive and life-saving for many individuals. A Natural Prednisone or Steroid Protocol

1:35 Natural steroid protocol

In this video, I want to tell you about a potential alternative protocol for steroids. The side effects of things like prednisone, cortisone, steroids, anti-inflammatories, or anything related to the synthetic form of cortisol can have a lot of side effects.

Many people have inflammatory conditions. When a person takes a synthetic form of cortisol, over time, it can work less and less to the point where it doesn’t work anymore.

Cortisol is made by your adrenal cortex. Cortisol is the natural anti-inflammatory in the body. It suppresses the immune system.

To make cortisol, you need the cofactor vitamin B5, and vitamin C. Vitamin D can also help cortisol work better. If you have cortisol resistance, vitamin D may help reset that.

A natural potential steroid protocol for a severe inflammatory reaction:
1. Vitamin B5 — 500mg
2. Vitamin C (buffered and non-GMO) — 1000mg
3. Vitamin D3 — 10,000 IUs

A. You may want to take this combination every 15 minutes for 2 hours.
B. Then, take this combination every 2 hours for the rest of the day.
C. After that, if needed, take the protocol twice a day.

This protocol is meant to help naturally calm things down as you do things to correct the situation like getting on the keto and intermittent fasting plan.

📌Get your free printable "Prednisone Taper Chart":

This video discusses the challenges associated with tapering off prednisone, a synthetic corticosteroid. It highlights the common experience of prednisone withdrawal syndrome, which includes symptoms like fatigue, nausea, and muscle pain. This emphasizes the importance of consulting a healthcare provider to rule out infections and suggests strategies for managing withdrawal, such as returning to a stable dose and using a Prednisone Taper Chart for a gradual reduction.

Key Takeaways:

1. Prednisone Withdrawal Syndrome: Tapering off prednisone can lead to withdrawal symptoms that are often more distressing than the side effects experienced while on the medication. This is known as prednisone withdrawal syndrome or steroid withdrawal syndrome.
2. Common Withdrawal Symptoms: Symptoms can include extreme fatigue, hypoglycemia, hypotonia, nausea, muscle and joint pain, sleep disturbances, and weight fluctuations. These symptoms reflect the body's adjustment to the absence of prednisone.
3. Consult Healthcare Providers: It's essential to consult a healthcare provider when experiencing withdrawal symptoms to rule out infections, as prednisone can mask infection symptoms.
4. Tapering Strategy: If withdrawal symptoms occur, returning to the lowest dose at which the individual felt stable is often recommended. This helps the body adjust more gradually to lower dosages.
5. Use of Taper Charts: Utilizing resources like a Prednisone Taper Chart can aid in managing the tapering process by providing guidance on a slower, more deliberate schedule, helping to track progress and make informed dosage adjustments.

This video discusses the challenges of tapering off prednisone and managing withdrawal symptoms. This explains the importance of a gradual reduction in dosage to allow the body to readjust, highlighting the role of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis in this process and covers common withdrawal symptoms, such as aches, fatigue, and sleep disturbances, and emphasizes the need for a personalized tapering strategy to prevent severe health risks.

Key Takeaways:
1. Gradual Tapering is Essential: Tapering off prednisone should be done gradually to allow the body to readjust and avoid severe withdrawal symptoms. Abrupt cessation can lead to significant health risks, including adrenal crisis.
2. Role of the HPA Axis: The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis plays a crucial role in managing the body's response to stress and needs time to recalibrate during the tapering process. This system's adjustment is vital for restoring normal cortisol production.
3. Common Withdrawal Symptoms: Individuals may experience a range of withdrawal symptoms, such as aches, fatigue, nausea, fever, sleep disturbances, and weight changes. These symptoms are part of prednisone withdrawal syndrome and vary from person to person.
4. Personalized Tapering Strategy: A personalized tapering strategy is important to manage withdrawal symptoms effectively. Download your own printable “Prednisone Taper Chart”, this would help individuals track their dosage and choose a tapering method that suits their needs.
5. Monitoring and Adjusting Dosage: It is crucial to monitor symptoms closely and adjust the dosage if withdrawal symptoms become overwhelming. Reverting to a previous dose that did not cause adverse effects can help alleviate symptoms during the tapering process.

How and When to use Doxycyline (Doryx, Doxylin, Efracea) - Doctor Explains
How and When to use Doxycyline (Doryx, Doxylin, Efracea) - Doctor Explains Side Effects 1 Views • 5 months ago

Welcome back to How To Medicate and welcome to this video on how and when to use Doxycycline. I already made several videos on different antibiotics and if you are interested you can find those in the playlist here:
https://www.youtube.com/playli....st?list=PLaG3Bo3L0gX

Generic name: Doxycycline.
Brand names: Doryx, Doxyhexal, Doxylin and Efracea.
Available as: capsules, tablets and injections.

How to use it?
Swallow the capsule whole with half a glass of water. Don’t break it and don’t chew on it. This can make Doxycyline less effective.

Duration of treatment?
Usually 1 to 3 weeks, but it can be up to several months-years.
It is important that you do not interrupt the treatment and finish it completely.

When to use it?
Doxyxycline is used for ”serious” infections caused by micro-organisms sensitive to Doxycycline.

What is the correct dosage?
Always use the dosage and frequency prescribed by your own doctor.
General guideline for adults using tablets or capsules: 200mg 1x/day or 100mg 2x/day.

Forgotten a dose?
Does it take less than 4 hours till your next dose? Than skip the dose you missed and take the forgotten dose at the end of your treatment.

What are the side-effects?
Common (1-10%): high blood pressure, headache, vaginal complaints, stomach complaints, dry mouth, tooth discolouration in children, nausea, rash.
Uncommon (0.1-1%): headache, vomiting, diarrhea.

Safety:
The usage of Doxycycline can be dangerous for people with liver and kidney complaints and for those who are hypersensitive to tetracyclines. It can also have interactions with other medication. Therefore always discuss with your doctor if Doxycycline is safe for you to use.

Pregnancy and Lactation:
The usage of Doxycycline while being pregnant or while breastfeeding can be dangerous for your unborn child. Therefore you should not use it and ask your doctor for an other antibiotic.

- Disclaimer: this video and the comments are meant purely informational! This is not medical advice! If you are looking for medical advice always contact your own doctor. -

Augmentin (Amoxicillin Clavulanate) – Side Effects, Uses, Mechanism of Action, Dosage, Interactions, Warnings | Co-amoxiclav | Amoxyclav
Augmentin, also known as Amoxicillin Clavulanate, Co-amoxiclav or Amoxyclav, is a potent antibiotic combining amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. It's effective against various bacterial infections including respiratory, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue infections, among others. Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, skin reactions, yeast infections, headaches, and taste changes. Serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, liver problems, blood disorders, and kidney issues. Mechanistically, amoxicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall formation while clavulanic acid inhibits enzymes that could deactivate amoxicillin. Dosage varies based on infection severity and patient factors. Important warnings include potential drug interactions, caution during pregnancy and lactation, Clostridium difficile infection risk, allergic reactions, and monitoring liver function.
