SIBO is very common and can create nutritional deficiencies that damage your health.
0:00 SIBO can steal your nutrients and damage your health
1:17 I explain what causes SIBO
2:03 And here’s what you can do about it
In this video, I explain how SIBO can steal your nutrients and, as a result, damage your health.
SIBO stands for small intestine bacterial overgrowth. Here’s what happens: normally, your friendly bacteria live in your large intestine. But if they migrate to your small intestine, the microbes start fermenting your carbohydrates and eating your nutrients — especially B12, iron, and bile.
Bloating, abdominal pain and gas are some of the side effects, but the most consequential one is nutritional deficiencies. When you’re deficient in B12, you could have serious neurological issues, shooting, stabbing pain, and anemia among other symptoms. An iron deficiency will also cause anemia as well as fatigue. And if you’re too low in bile, you can’t digest fats thus you’re unable to extract fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin E as well as vitamin K and essential fatty acids.
SIBO can develop because of many things. One is if your digestive system was surgically altered, allowing the bacteria to go into the small intestine. Or it can occur if you don’t have enough stomach acid to kill off microbes, which arrive with your food then can pass through to the small intestine.
Here’s what you can do if you have SIBO:
● Increase your stomach acid. Start by taking betaine hydrochloride, in pill form. Take at least five before each meal.
● Take apple cider vinegar regularly. You can get pills that combine betaine hydrochloride with apple cider vinegar.
● Do intermittent fasting to give your digestive system a chance to reset and clean itself out. When you fast, your food tends to be washed into the large intestine by the hair-like cilia in your bowel. I believe you can never fully handle SIBO unless you do intermittent fasting.
● Avoid prebiotics; that is, fiber, for at least a month to six weeks. Yes, I include not eating vegetables in this recommendation. Microbes will ferment the fiber.
● Avoid probiotics too, as part of keeping down your microbe numbers. And definitely don’t take products that combine pre-and probiotics!
● Take an herbal antibiotic such as oregano, thyme, or cloves to create an antimicrobial environment.
SIBO is way more common than you may know; and, one of the major problems with it is the nutritional deficiencies it can create, which will damage your health.

Rifaximin is one of the most common antibiotics prescribed for SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth). It is a relatively safe antibiotic and can help reduce hydrogen dominant bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine. There are, however, some drawbacks associated with its use, of which, many people are sadly unaware.
In this Fix Your Gut YouTube video I discuss:
What is the rifamycin class of antibiotics?
What is rifampin used for and do I recommend it?
What is rifabutin used for and do I recommend it?
Does rifabutin work for anti-MAP therapy for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease?
What is rifaximin (Xifaxan) used for and do I recommend it?
What are the side effects of each medication?
How should Xifaxan be taken for SIBO-D to improve its effectiveness?
Does Xifaxan work for SIBO-C?
Does Xifaxan work for stomach or colonic dysbiosis?

How Does Rexulti Work?
Rexulti works in the brain by balancing chemicals. More specifically, it is a serotonin-dopamine activity modulator (SDAM) that works with the dopamine and serotonin receptors inside the brain. Serotonin and dopamine are important neurotransmitters that nerve cells release and receptors in the brain pick up. Both serotonin and dopamine play a role in depression, but each works a little differently.
Dopamine Is a Motivator
Increasing dopamine may help with some depression symptoms, including low motivation, a loss of interest in things that used to be enjoyable, and thoughts of helplessness. This is because dopamine is the motivation and reward chemical. It’s why you get a rush when you complete a task. Dopamine helps people enjoy all kinds of activities. From food to sex, dopamine being released in the brain helps us enjoy those experiences. Unfortunately, it’s also what leads to addictions, including drugs, gambling, and shopping.
Dopamine Can Cause Problems for Users
Dopamine does not always get released at the same level. An activity that once brought a rush to a person may not be as exciting after a while. This means that a person may “use” more than they once did to get the same rush, whether it is a drug or another addiction. Dopamine dysfunction has been tied to bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and schizophrenia.
Rexulti Moderates Serotonin Activity Too
Serotonin can affect a person’s overall mood because serotonin helps a person process their emotions. Low serotonin levels were thought to be the cause of depression, but several decades of research have suggested that it is not quite that simple. The most effective non-holistic medicinal approach to depression is to increase serotonin levels in the brain by using selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Forty to 60 percent of people with moderate to severe depression who start SSRIs feel they are improving within six to eight weeks. That leaves a lot of patients not responding to the SSRIs. That’s why doctors may prescribe Rexulti (brexpiprazole) in addition to an SSRI for major depressive disorder.
Increased serotonin in the brain does not always equate to less depression. Instead, increased serotonin helps with positive emotional processing. Over time, that can result in an overall improvement in mood.
Serotonin has been linked to autism spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and social anxiety disorder.
Not only do serotonin and dopamine affect a person’s mood, they can also affect a person’s sleep and digestion.

Welcome back to Pharmacist Michael's Happy, Healthy, Living channel. In today's video, we're delving into the exciting world of Rapatha, a revolutionary medication that's reshaping cholesterol management.
Section 1: What's Rapatha All About?
Rapatha, also known as evolocumab, is causing a buzz in the healthcare scene. But what exactly is it? In simple terms, it's a medication engineered to lower LDL cholesterol, often referred to as the "bad" cholesterol. But here's the twist – it achieves this in a one-of-a-kind way. Let's dive right in!
Section 2: The Science Behind Rapatha
Imagine Rapatha as a secret agent working inside your body. Its mission? To target a protein named PCSK9, acting as a gatekeeper in your liver. This protein controls the number of "bad" cholesterol receptors your body has. When PCSK9 levels are elevated, your LDL cholesterol levels follow suit. Rapatha steps in, intercepting PCSK9, resulting in more receptors and less "bad" cholesterol circulating in your bloodstream.
Section 3: Who Stands to Gain from Rapatha?
So, who should be enthusiastic about Rapatha? It's a game-changer for individuals with exceptionally high cholesterol levels, especially those grappling with familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic condition. If you're at significant risk of heart-related issues like heart attacks or strokes and other cholesterol medications aren't doing the trick, Rapatha might be your knight in shining armor. And for those who can't endure the side effects of statins, Rapatha could be a welcome alternative.
Section 4: How to Administer Rapatha
Taking Rapatha is a walk in the park. You administer it with a simple subcutaneous shot, right under your skin. No need for frequent doctor visits – you can do it in the comfort of your home. Your healthcare provider will guide you in determining the appropriate dosage and injection frequency based on your cholesterol levels.
Section 5: Possible Speed Bumps - Side Effects
Like most things in life, Rapatha can have its quirks, but they're typically minor. You might experience some localized redness, swelling, or discomfort at the injection site. Or you could feel like you have the flu temporarily, with symptoms like fever, chills, or muscle aches. The silver lining is that these side effects usually fade quickly. For most people, the benefits of lower cholesterol far outweigh these minor inconveniences.
Section 6: Wrapping it Up and Points to Consider
In a nutshell, Rapatha, or evolocumab, is a groundbreaking medication for managing cholesterol levels. Think of it as your cholesterol guardian angel, helping your body maintain cholesterol more effectively. And if you're interested in straightforward health content, consider becoming a part of our health community by subscribing. If you’ve never taken medication before and out of nowhere your doctor prescribe the medication you should really sit down and ask yourself if you should take the medication.
You have to keep in mind that doctors don’t give a fuck about you or your mental condition your physical and condition or any condition whatsoever but their paycheck. If they see $coming from you they’re going to take it they’re going to prescribe it to you regardless if you need it or not. If you think that you should not be taking medication for the love of God don’t take it. If you’re perfectly fine without the medication then why are you taking it ask yourself these fundamental questions.
Stop taking other peoples advice for your own start taking your own advice because you know your body you can have a individual body that no one’s ever tested on and those people wouldn’t have data on so therefore they couldn’t help you only you can help you. Don’t want to be your motivational right now but is some real stuff help yourself love yourself actually ask yourself fundamental questions like who am I who are you what makes you you get and start a relationship with yourself.
