How to use Telmisartan
Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking telmisartan and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day. Keep taking this medication even if you feel well. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick. For the treatment of high blood pressure, it may take up to 4 weeks before you get the full benefit of this drug.
Side Effects
Dizziness or lightheadedness may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If either of these effects lasts or gets worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
Remember that this medication has been prescribed because your doctor has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: fainting, symptoms of a high potassium blood level (such as muscle weakness, slow/irregular heartbeat).
Although telmisartan may be used to prevent kidney problems or treat people who have kidney problems, it may also rarely cause serious kidney problems or make them worse. Your doctor will check your kidney function while you are taking telmisartan. Tell your doctor right away if you have any signs of kidney problems such as a change in the amount of urine.

Anticonvulsant drugs are classified as either classic or newer anticonvulsants. Newer anticonvulsants are usually better tolerated and have a broader therapeutic range than classic anticonvulsant drugs. The choice of drug is guided by the type of seizure. First-line treatment for focal seizures includes e.g., lamotrigine or levetiracetam, while valproate is used for generalized seizures. All anticonvulsants have dose-dependent side effects on the central nervous system such as somnolence and nausea, but some agents have more specific side effects (e.g., gingival hyperplasia caused by phenytoin).
Besides their importance in anti-epileptic therapy, anticonvulsants are also used for pain management (e.g., carbamazepine or gabapentin as coanalgesics) or as mood stabilizers in bipolar disorders (valproate).

Tamoxifen is an anti-oestrogen medicine that is mainly used to treat breast cancer, but is also used in fertility treatment.
Tamoxifen works by blocking the effects of oestrogen.
This is effective in treating breast cancer because most breast cancers are sensitive to oestrogen, and their growth is encouraged by the presence of oestrogen in the blood. By inhibiting the effects of oestrogen, tamoxifen stops the cancer cells from growing.
In the treatment of infertility, tamoxifen stimulates ovulation by blocking oestrogen receptors in the brain. This causes more follicle stimulating hormone (FSH for short) and luteinising hormone (LH for short) to be released. FSH stimulates the ovaries and LH causes the release of an egg from the ovaries.

Upon phosphorylation by the protein tyrosine kinase from activated T cells after organ transplantation, hydrogelators in the tacrolimus‐coassembled nanofibers will be efficiently converted to their hydrophilic phosphates, resulting in the disassembly of the nanofibers and the release of tacrolimus for T‐cell inhibition. This is reported by Jindao Wu, Zhen Zheng, Yuanyuan Chong, Xiangcheng Li, Liyong Pu, Qiyun Tang, Liu Yang, Xuehao Wang, Fuqiang Wang, and Gaolin Liang in the article https://doi.org/10.1002/adma.201805018. To know more, please go to the Advanced Materials homepage.
What Are The Side Effects Of Tacrolimus (oral)? In this informative video, we will discuss the side effects associated with the oral medication Tacrolimus. This medication is commonly prescribed to prevent organ rejection in transplant patients by suppressing the immune system. While it can be effective, it is important to be aware of the potential side effects that may arise during treatment.
We will cover both common and serious side effects, including issues related to headaches, digestive problems, sleep disturbances, and neurological symptoms. Additionally, we will explore cardiovascular effects, metabolic changes, and the risk of infections that may require immediate medical attention.
Understanding these side effects is essential for anyone taking Tacrolimus, as it can help you stay informed about your health and recognize when to seek medical advice. Regular monitoring and communication with healthcare providers are important aspects of managing any potential complications.
